  • Well appointed home!

"Very accommodating house. We were there only for a short visit, but enjoyed it. It was perfect for two couples and young children. My grandson loved the trundle bed! Hope to return with warmer weather so we can enjoy the pool."

  • Just gemutlich!

"I stayed in this lovely cabin for a week in July with my pets. Mike was a kind and gracious host and very responsive to email and later by phone. The cabin sits on 10 acres in a community with other cabins and some year around residents. It sits about 10 minutes away from Sisters and about 20 minutes to Bend. There are homes on either side of the cabin. The closest home is situated forward on their property while the cabin is situated towards the back so you really can’t see or hear the neighbors. The other home is much further away and can’t be seen. The only thing that is visible is their horse corral. The property is very natural and is enjoyable to stroll in the morning and evenings. The cabin has two levels. The main living area with the kitchen and one bathroom is upstairs to take advantage of the lovely mountain views. There are 16 stairs from the front door up to the upper level. I mention this because the one of the previous review made it sound like it was outrageous and that’s not the case. The upstairs is very cozy with a TV and lots of games. The house is situated east to west so you can watch a lovely sunrise and beautiful sunsets. There are windows on all sides of the upper level with screens and a large slider to the amazing deck. There were NO bugs at all except an occasionally month. It was so comfortable; I almost never closed the door. My dogs enjoyed going in and out onto the deck during the heat of the day. They also enjoyed watching the jackrabbits and chipmunks. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, mixers and other things making it really pleasant and easy to cook. Only need to bring the groceries. The bedrooms are on the lower level with the outdoor shower and a half bath. It was always cool and comfortable down there during our stay. It was in the 90s on multiple days. There is also a washer and dryer on this level. The backdoor opens out to the outdoor shower and hot tub. My week’s stay at this cabin was restful and very enjoyable. I think it’s a great place for a weekend retreat or a base for exploring Bend, Sisters and the surrounding area. Mike is most helpful. If you are looking for a comfortable home away from home, this cabin is it."

  • Family Vacation

"My family and I recently stayed at this gorgeous house for a small family reunion. We all absolutely LOVED it! The house itself is fantastic, ample room and stocked with plenty of fun toys (kayaks, canoes, bikes, pool table). The location was also perfect. We had a quite setting on the river but a short bike ride into town. Next time we return to Bend, this house will be a MUST for us!"

  • quiet and comfortable

"The space was wonderful and had everything we could've wanted. The village store was a nice and quick walk away even in the snow, and there were plenty of paths to walk our dog. The kitchen had all the space and tools a cook could want and the dishwasher was a nice treat. And Mount Bachelor is only a 20 min drive away, we would recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and quiet retreat."
