  • Wonderful stay

"We have been to Sunriver several times but never at Caldera Springs. The house was perfect for our family of 4 as well as our cousin's family of 5. It had everything that we needed and the house was clean and well kept. Suzanne was very pleasant from my first contact over email until the very end. Would definitely come back again!"

  • Great family place!

"This home is excellent for a large family gathering. Mother's Day weekend with all of my mom's grown kids and their respective families was a hit! This is, in great part, because of the lovely house, which allowed plenty of room for every couple and for the kids. Highly recommended!"

  • Gorgeous Home, Fantastic Location, Bring Sleep Shades

"Husband, 15-year-old son and I shared this home with another couple and their well-behaved dog for a week in June 2014. This was our sixth summer in Sunriver, second time renting in Caldera and this was our favorite home of the lot. Great ranch-style layout, well-appointed kitchen, all bedrooms ensuite -- much to love here. Sunriver Resort was the management company and they had the home ready with plenty of extra towels -- they even shuttled over an extra remote control battery that was strangely missing. House plusses -- clean, newer, air-conditioned. New home means big great room/open kitchen concept which was ideal for our group. We ended up cooking a lot. The outdoor dining/hot tub area is right off the kitchen so we could eat out or in depending on the weather -- we got rain 3 of 5 days. All bedrooms were ensuite with the master having a separate tub. Great! House has a tankless water heater so hot water is ready immediately. The two bedrooms with kings each had their own doors with patio access. House was spotless, hot tub super clean. Decor is lovely (I think all Sunriver houses are decorated similarly by design -- could be confusing if you are renting multiple homes!) Location is perfect -- the pool house, lake and golf are right across the street. Sunriver Resort guests (which we were) are allowed to play the par 3 course there for free. The house is also super convenient to the main road entrance so you can drive over to the Village quickly -- 5 minutes -- if you need something at the store. The house seems huge due to the 18 foot ceilings. Windows everywhere let nature in. Minuses -- the master bedroom does not have window treatments on the top windows (see ceiling comment) so you will be up at dawn (5:15 in summer) if you need a dark room for sleep. The sun is blinds you in the kitchen early morning. This was our second Caldera rental with a window treatment issue. The master bedroom has a direct eastern exposure -- it was so unfortunate that we didn't get good sleep. The other bedrooms don't have the vaulted ceilings (one faces east, the other west) so light wasn't as big an issue. Other sleep issue -- the master and the second king bed room have the beds sharing a wall -- the beds are back-to-back. If anyone snores, you will hear it. Kitchen gas (yeah!) cooktop four burners and downdraft fan struggled to cook for six. Also, no bikes in garage -- had to add $450 to our tab to rent them for 5 days. Bummer! That's all!"

  • Great House!

"We had a great stay at this upscale, luxury home with all the ammenities and details provided. Furnishings and decor were modern and comfortable. Easy, short bike ride to the pool and lake house. Short 1 mile drive to the Sunriver Village and restaurants. Great use of space and easily sleeps 14 (although we only had 5). The only drawback was the "Obsidian Club." We've stayed at several houses in Caldera Springs and all of them had kayak and paddle board rentals included free... as well as free access to the 9 hole Caldera golf course. With this rental - you are "Obsidian Club" level which means you pay for kayaks, paddle boards and golf. Definitely not a deal breaker - but it feels like complete luxury to have ALL of those things included. I would definitely recommend this home to friends... and would definitely book it again."

Caldera Springs Travel Tips

Culture and Comfort: Caldera Springs Cottages

The common beaches, the dull amusements: vacations have become tributes to the ordinary. Travelers want perfection but receive only tedium; and new destinations must therefore be sought. Oregon is one such destination. This northwestern state offers the expected adventures, with volcanic remains to discover and alpine lakes to find. It's the cultural rewards that will impress most families, however -- and Caldera Springs cottages (located in Sunriver, a private community founded in 1969) allows them all to be explored.

Arts and Miles: Caldera Springs Vacation Homes

Distance is rarely kind. Holidays are defined by highway frustrations, the overwhelming traffic; and cultural experiences can seem unworthy of the time it takes to reach them. Caldera Springs vacation homes provide relief. These luxury rentals enable all families to seek the arts without having to endure long travels. They're tucked within Sunriver, sparing all the need for hotels, campgrounds or ineffective lodgings. They're close; they're convenient; and they offer modern style. It's success without compromise.

Experience Drama: Oregon

Caldera Springs cottages conjure thoughts of adventure, of white water thrills. While these can be found within Oregon, there is far more to discover; and culture can't be denied. Consider the Deschutes Historical Museum, which traces the development of Bend (the largest town of the county and located just beyond the resort). Visit the Museum at Warm Springs for Native American art, weaponry and interactive exhibits. Let the 2nd Street Theatre impress with its grand architecture and stirring performances. Indulge in symphony sounds at the Les Schwab Amphitheater. And journey from Sunriver vacation rentals to the CTC Cascades Theatrical Company, one of Oregon's most prestigious establishments. Art awaits.

Sunriver Excellence

Holidays aren't meant to be lost among the summer madness. They're instead to be filled with culture. Allow Caldera Springs vacation homes to provide you with access to more than the unexpected.
