"Trapper 9 made our stay so comfortable. Used all the amenities on a daily basis, the hot tub, horse shoes, bicycles, ping pong, sharc passes, etc. Cooked dinner every night on the grill and enjoyed the quiet surroundings for an entire week. Couldn't have been more comfortable or relaxing! The owner provided great communication before and after our stay so all went smoothly from reservation to check out. We hope to return soon. Thank you!"

"We had 4 families (8 adults and 5 kids) stay over President's Day weekend. The house was fully stocked and had lots of room for everyone. We especially appreciated that there were 2 dishwashers and 2 sinks, we did a lot of cooking and it made cleaning up really easy. We rode bikes, played games and had a blast. We're considering booking again for next year because this house fit perfectly for our needs!"

Quiet retreat for our special family reunion guests
"We rented the combined three properties for a family reunion in May 2015. We used the Mountain View Retreat as the "quiet house" for Grandma, aunties and uncles; the Lodge as the "hub" where all meals were served; and the Cottage as "overflow" for the younger crowd.
The Retreat (as we called it) was quiet, spacious and comfortable--a perfect option for the guests we assigned to sleep there. We filled the fridge and kitchen with supplies for our guests, but served all of our meals out of the Lodge (a short 3 minute walk from the Retreat). It was clear that the kitchen came fully stocked with appliances, dishes, and more than we needed. Guests were envious of the aunt and uncle we put in the Main Bedroom/Bathroom because of how beautiful the master bath was! Guests told me that the beds were very comfortable, heat was adjustable in each room, and the showers were perfect.
There was lots of fridge space! There's even an extra fridge stored at the back of the house, where we stored extra food for later in the weekend.
The only concern I had up front was that there are property caregivers that live on site--in a separate house next to the Retreat. I was unsure of the amount of privacy we'd have or if we'd be "micro managed", but aside from the minute we arrived, we didn't have a single interaction with them all weekend. There was a ton of parking at the Retreat for our three adult parties staying there, plus the caregivers.
Our interactions with the property manager (different than caregiver) were smooth and helpful. We emailed, spoke on the phone, and were able to make all arrangements with ease. I would definitely recommend this house (and the other two) for your next gathering. I am already thinking of how I want to do another getaway with just my parents and brothers and sister for a holiday visit in the coming years."

I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
I was more than happy with the location.
The vacation rental was spotless.
The property manager was very helpful.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
We had 10 people and could all stay in one house. Loved the sinks in every bedroom (kept the 2 1/2 baths more accessible). Well-stocked kitchen. Close to market for last-minute forgotten items. Good after-hours system for getting keys. Loved the hot tub, SHARC, horseback and bike riding and observatory program, as well as local shopping! Clean and recently updated (flooring, furniture, counters, etc.)--very well done. Not very close to river, and there is a road in back, but it's not too busy and the bike path is right beside it. Would rent this one again. Bring a baby gate for the stairs if you have a little one....
Manager responded on 6/18/2015:
Thanks for this great feedback, Evelyn! We are intently focused on families, being a family owned and operated business ourselves. Part of our mission is to start and perpetuate Sunriver family vacation traditions so our families have the best possible experience when traveling and spending time together (which we think is what life is all about!) Also, because we travel as a family too, we have a warehouse full of back-up gear in case the house is missing something you need, so always feel free to check with us (especially on that 'hard to travel with' kid gear). We sure hope to see you back in Sunriver soon with the whole Fellows family in tow!"
