  • Fantastic house!

"We enjoyed a wonderful family vacation last week at Sunriver, the experience surely enhanced by the five nights we spent in this wonderful home. All 14 of us "fit" nicely in this spacious home. There are plenty of bedrooms and beds, a really nice large kitchen in an even larger great room. The couch in the living room portion of the great room is just gigantic and perfect for conversation or movie-watching. The pool table upstairs and the ping pong table in the garage were a blast, as was the hot tub out back. All-in-all, we agreed we'd definitely return to 17 Shagbark next time we all get together in Sunriver. PS - the SHARC is way cool and the passes a real added bonus to this rental. PPS - great proximity to the Cottonwood store."

  • Great location and free Sharc!

"This was a terrific family home that was literally steps from Sharc and included free unlimited passes for 6 people. Compared to other places we've rented in Sunriver, that was a savings of about $80 per day! Free use of the bikes and we rode them everywhere. The village is a close ride away, so the kids rode over there every night after dinner. The house is comfortable and we spent most of our time on the outdoor deck. It's a great place to relax, plus the kids could ride around and play on the private cul-de-sac loop and we could easily keep an eye on them from up above on the deck without having to worry about where they were. It's dog-friendly, which was nice to be able to bring our dogs for the week. The place was well-stocked and very homey. We will be back!"

  • Beautiful house for a large family

"This house was beyond our expectations. Our family of 16 (11 adults and 6 kids) had more than enough space in each bedroom and come together in the large family room. In addition, the community of Sunriver had more activities then we had anticipated. In our week stay, we only touched on a few things of the main areas within Sunriver. Our favorite part was the availability of bikes in the house. We rented 3 kid carriages and biked all over Sunriver. We will definitely return to this community in the future."

  • Great location, well appointed comfortable home

"Everything we needed for our stay was provided. Everything was in good working order. The home was clean and comfortable and is in a great location. I love having a kitchen where there is actually a great supply of kitchen tools. We enjoyed everything about our stay at #13 Lupine and would highly recommend it to others."

Private Homes Travel Tips

Water, Waves and Wonder: Sunriver Cottages

It seems the most unlikely of destinations: the Sunriver community (a private resort established in 1969) is centered within Oregon, kept far from the Pacific and its beauty. Travelers craving water dismiss it therefore, believe no waves can be sought within the mountain ranges -- the Cascades and volcano remnants. Land is all they assume to find. But there are discoveries to make among the sagebrush and ponderosa pines, and Sunriver cottages allow those discoveries to be wet ones.

Oceans Conquered: Sunriver Vacation Homes

Beaches are tedious. Seeking water on holidays has always been a dull experience -- battling crowds for even an inch of sand, sharing every wave with wild children and their frazzled parents. And then you had to endure the grueling drives back to your hotels, surrounded by paper-thin walls and far too many families. Sunriver vacation homes offer less exhausting afternoons. All water is instead kept within the resort, can be reached simply by stepping from your front door; and private rooms, modern luxuries and spacious accommodations ensure returning will be a comfort (not a concern).

Oregon Ease: Rivers, Lakes and More

Convenience is the desire for all vacations -- and Sunriver cottages allow this to never be denied. Seek out the Marina, which offers canoeing and swimming. Kayak down the Deschutes River and its many inlets. Take a shuttle boat to Benham Butte for picnicking and exploration. Enjoy one of the three available Olympic size pools. Discover the Big Obsidian Flow nestled at the base of Paulina Peak. And be amazed by Crater Lake and its depths of 2000 feet. The variety is endless beyond Sunriver vacation rentals.

Summer Triumph: Northwest

Defy the expectations of the season: ignore the traditional beaches for a far better thrill. Let Sunriver vacation homes offer the water you've been wanting.
