  • Pleasant, quiet and comfortable.

"Everything was as described and shown in pictures. Very clean and well maintained. There ended up being just the two of us renting this large home, but the rate per night was good and we were quite comfortable. Enjoyed the private hot tub. The only complaint we had was that the lighting in the rooms (other than the bathrooms) was dim. Maybe just up the wattage in the overhead can lights."

  • Great pet friendly central clean home!

"We really enjoyed our stay at this Rogue Lane house! The location was great - very close to everything but in a quieter section of Sunriver. The house was spotless when we arrived. I can't think of a single thing that we wanted for while there. We cooked in every night and felt the kitchen was very well supplied. The hosts were very accommodating, yet hands-off unless we needed something. We really appreciated their being pet friendly. Thanks for a great vacation!!"

  • Perfect vacation home!

"We wanted this home in 2013 but it was booked by the time we made our decision. We ended up staying on the same street that year and booked early for 2014 to get Killdeer#2. WE LOVED IT! The home is so cozy, kitchen has everything that we needed and more, and it's in such a great location. We're considering this our Sunriver home and will book here from here on out!"

  • Loved it!

"We had a great time at the cabin and will definitely look for it to be available next time we visit Sunriver. It is a great place for families! Pros/Highlights: * VERY clean, comfy, includes wi-fi that is actually fast (not like some places we've rented where the wi-fi is shared by several units and slow as molasses.) * Well-stocked kitchen, including toddler/kids plates, bowls, cups, and silverware. * The loft area with bunk beds (located upstairs outside the second bedroom) is a great place for the kids to sleep. * We loved having the pool nearby. It is heated, runs from a depth of 3 ft. to 9 ft., and well-shaded in the late afternoon. It is a private pool for use by ranch cabin guests, so it was never overcrowded. * Lots of grassy common areas for the kiddos to run around on. * The way the cabins are situated makes it feel very private. * We didn't have a chance to use the bikes, but they looked like they would have been fun! * We were notified before we arrived that the stove had gone out and was scheduled for repair the day after our arrival. Upon arrival we found that an electric double-burner unit had been set up - it looked like this had just been purchased (the box was in the garbage.) The management did a great job of communicating the issue to us and we appreciated them providing the burner unit. Things to know: (I don't want to list these as "cons" because they really weren't a big deal. Just info I think would be helpful.) * There is one bathroom downstairs, accessible only through the master bedroom. The other bathroom is upstairs and is extremely small. This wasn't a big deal for us (4 adults and 1 kid, all family.) It might be a bit of an issue if you are not vacationing with close family/friends. * No A/C (we knew this) and the upstairs has only 2 small windows that can be opened. We had pretty mild weather, so we didn't have any problems. If you are planning a vacation during hot weather, you may want to inquire if fans are available. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend this property for 4 adults plus a kid or two. More than that and you might feel a bit cramped - unless you really like each other. ;) Looking forward to our next visit!"

Wildflower Travel Tips

The Easy Escape: Wildflower Cottages

City lights can be damning; stone can overwhelm: it's a struggle to complete the little obligations, to endure the monotony of day to day routines. Relief must now be sought -- and Oregon can offer it. Tucked along the northwestern curve of the United States, this destination is a frazzled traveler's dream. It's framed by cascades and reservoirs, ash cones and juniper trees; and Wildflower cottages (centered within the Sunriver community) provide the perfect escape.

Seek Comfort: Wildflower Vacation Homes

Beauty is a rare thing. Peace is even rarer. All previous holidays have been exercises in failure, offering crowded attractions and tiny hotels -- with all hours shared with strangers and no adventure that wasn't ruined. Wildflower vacation homes wish to break this pattern, however. These rentals allow families to seek their own spaces, finding comfort in the quiet. Most units offer privacy, with an excess of rooms and square footage: ensuring that the days will be easy.

Discover Nature: Oregon

Concrete is meant to be forgotten. The season is to be experienced -- and Wildflower cottages allow this to happen. Trek out to Paulina Peak for staggering views and hidden trails. Climb along volcanic remainders at Smith Rock State Park. Take a chair-lift up the almost 8,000 vertical feet of the Cascade Range. Visit the High Desert Museum for stirring exhibits and interactive activities. Walk along Lava Butte -- with its 7,000 years of formations and geology. And return then to Sunriver vacation rentals to indulge in Sage Springs, a spa retreat that will soothe all tensions away. There is much to experience in Oregon.

Adventure Found, Convenience Earned

No longer settle for the dull destinations. No longer be overwhelmed by routine. Seek out Wildflower vacation homes and the beauty of Sunriver. The rewards will be instant and the memories will be (happily) earned.
