"This is a splendid house that is spacious, open and airy with a green belt (the golf course) on the window side. The architecture is very tasteful and contemporary, far more aesthetically interesting than the generic Sunriver house designs. The kitchen is well appointed with great work spaces and a full array of cooking tools and implements. Perfect for a large family or group; highly recommended!"

"We stayed 4 nights and wished we could live there full time :) Our group included ages 8 to 75. The house was picture perfect, clean, decorated with immpecable taste, well appointed, and with a warmth that instantly makes everyone feel relaxed and welcome. The kitchen, bathrooms, pantry, and bedrooms were so well stocked it was if the "real owners" had just disappeared. Each generation felt at home. One family group of five rented a house near by, but joined the other 10 of us every day starting with breakfast and leaving at the end of the evening. This means we had 15 people in the house, and yet we never felt crowded. There is a second TV and sitting area upstairs. This became the spot for private, small group conversations, several games of cribbage, and a quiet place to reconnect or read. The downstairs couch in front of the fireplace and Christmas tree (thank you for the beautiful holiday decorations) was big enough for all 15 of us to sit together and became the focal point for our nightly charades and family games that led to laughter and much joy. We cooked dinner for all 15 of us every night and were able to sit everyone at the same time using the very large dinning table and the 4 stools by the kitchen island in the same room. This was a very important feature for a family who valued sharing our meals together. This house was one of the rare houses we researched that had accommodations for such a large group. Many had 4-5 bedrooms but then only had seating for 8 at the dining room table, and only a small couch and a chair or two. This house had plenty of room to accommodate a large gathering. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to create a 4 course meal every night. The pantry had many different appliances and a plethora of spices. Not only was coffee supplied, but it was whole bean from Starbucks, already set up in a grinder. The towels were large and fluffy, INCLUDING the towels specifically set aside for the hot tub. Luxury! The beds were very comfortable, as the sheets were super soft and the blankets were heavy and warm. There were plenty of pillows on each bed and every closet had extra. Everyone slept well, which is also a very important. Each bedroom had either a king or queen bed and their own bathroom with plenty of supplies. The owners were kind and so very accommodating. They personalized our stay and made our reunion so special for my parents. Thank you for your hospitality."

"We had a group of 30 people that rented houses on Kinglet and this one was perfect for my family of 4 and my brothers family of 4 plus our dog. The kitchen was well stocked and we put all of the towels to use. The kids enjoyed the ping pong table, air hockey and bikes as well."

"We just returned from a family reunion to Sunriver and stayed at this beautiful home. It is large and nicely appointed. We were especially impressed with the kitchen. It is well stocked, including a rice cooker, electric skillet, all sorts of baking dishes, sugar, brown sugar, flour, even syrup! Each family had their own room and bathroom and the kids had a great time going to the SHARC, riding the bikes, and playing air hockey. Family members from Southern California were especially impressed with all the deer that showed up...there were 6 or 7 standing just beyond the deck at one point.
The owner, Gale, is very responsive to emails and phone calls which I appreciate. We have stayed in many VRBO homes and this one was very comfortable for our large group (with one exception explained below).
Some things to note: renters are no longer allowed to use any pool other than the SHARC, which gets very, very, crowded. Our favorite pool has always been the North Pool but we could not use it this time. The homeowners of Sunriver voted to make it an "owners only" pool...this would affect all rental homes, not just this one.
The 16 SHARC passes save you a lot of money. It was $56 for a 3 day pass for 1 person, luckily we didn't have to buy any as we had enough with the house.
There were some cleanliness issues but we let Gordon know so hopefully he's able to discuss with housekeeping.
The deck was a lot smaller than I thought from the pictures, we really didn't spend any time on it other than the people BBQing but it didn't really affect us...
The AC does not work very well when it's hot out (which is when we want the AC to work). The downstairs was able to stay relatively cool at night but upstairs was uncomfortably hot all day and night. There was barely any air flowing out of the vents. We kept the blinds shut and opened windows at night but everyone complained about how hot it was, which I thought we had avoided by renting a house with AC. If you are renting in the summer, I'd bring a fan."
