  • Christmas at Halfway

"It was a beautifully serene spot. We had family meet us from Idaho and we from Washington. It was absolutely beautiful as promised. The house was furnished with everything we needed and more. We were a bit dismayed by the set mouse traps, but there was no evidence of mouse activity while there, so that turned out ok. Just needed to get rid of them so the children were not hurt. The beds were disappointing. My husband had to sleep on the sofa because the bed was so uncomfortable. (The kids took the good bed...they arrived first and had first pick.) Butch was very nice and saw to anything we needed. He even set up a sleigh ride with Belgian horses which was a highlight for our granddaughter. We had planned on bringing our 3 dogs, but only brought one. He had a blast running in the snow. We built a snow lady and swung on the tree swing. It was a sweet, memorable time. I am still awaiting a promised refund for the pet cleaning fee as we left the place super clean and there should have been no evidence of our beagle. Over all, good experience, the place is for sale, so don't know if we can ever go back, but would consider this a returnable vacation if it stays a rental. The driveway was on the base of a steep hill, had to get a fast run at it. Recommend 4wheel drive in the winter."

  • Family friendly

"Dick and Marta welcomed our family to their home by placing fresh picked strawberries from their patch in the fridge and a bottle of wine. From the kids corner ( which our granddaughters adored ) to the porch swing, we enjoyed the peace the location provided. The drive to nearby towns was short and we saw deer, elk, pheasant, groundhogs on the way. The R&R drive in has the best soft serve. We definitely recommend Antler Acres for anyone visiting Wallawa Valley. The mountains are breathtaking."

  • Our stay with "Gracie"

"We stayed in the downstairs “Gracie” unit with 2 other couples during spring break week. You won’t be disappointed. The place is well thought out and well equipped. When we cooked, the kitchen provided everything needed. There was plenty of room to spread out and hang out and be comfortable. The bedrooms are big. Oh, it’s important for you to know – “Gracie” is clean! We drove from Baker City north to snow shoe, ski and skate ski at Anthony Lakes. If you like snow play or just want a beautiful drive, Anthony Lakes is a must see. The snow conditions are excellent and there were no crowds (remember, we visited spring break)."

  • Rest and Relaxation at it's best! Beautiful lodge near town.

"If your looking for the perfect retreat this is the place. The lodge accommodated our entire family, with plenty of room for visits from friends and family. Decorated beautifully and all the modern conveniences. Fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to prepare a large family meal and sit around the dining room table. The slide off the back deck made me feel like a kid again. The creek, the stars in the evening, hanging laundry on the clothes line brought back wonderful memories while enjoying new ones. Only 4 miles from Main Street. Wonderful town with friendly wonderful people. Looking forward to our next visit."
