  • Family friendly

"Dick and Marta welcomed our family to their home by placing fresh picked strawberries from their patch in the fridge and a bottle of wine. From the kids corner ( which our granddaughters adored ) to the porch swing, we enjoyed the peace the location provided. The drive to nearby towns was short and we saw deer, elk, pheasant, groundhogs on the way. The R&R drive in has the best soft serve. We definitely recommend Antler Acres for anyone visiting Wallawa Valley. The mountains are breathtaking."

  • A Great Vacation Spot

""Wapiti Cabin" turned out to be a delightful home with an outstanding view of the Powder River. The "cabin" was neat and clean and equipped with modern appliances as well as a complete supply of quality dishes, cooking utensils, and silverware. The cabin's custom made king size beds and dining room table were very impressive. During our stay we visited Baker City and made the short drive to Haines for dinner at the Haines Steak House, but mostly we just relaxed at the cabin. My wife worked on her quilting and I fished the river. We spent a fair amount of time sitting on the porch enjoying the peace and quiet and admiring the view. The abundant wildlife, ranging from numerous bird species to mule deer browsing in the yard, certainly added to our enjoyment. Thanks for a great stay. We plan to visit Wapiti Cabin again."

  • Wonderful Lake House

"We stayed at Karin's home in early September, and I couldn't have been more pleased with our experience. I travel extensively and use VRBO frequently, and I was far more satisfied with the amenities and cleanliness of the property than I have been at other homes. From the beginning, Karin was wonderful to work with -- responsive, honest and responsible. We had no issues during our stay, but I'm sure she would have been readily available should we have needed her. We filled the house with 6 adults, 2 dogs and 2 babies. We brought our own pack n' plays and high chairs, and we thought that there was plenty of floorspace for all of us. The smallest bedroom with a full bed was a cozy squeeze for one couple, but Karin was very clear from the beginning about the size of her home and even advised against bringing so many adults! The downstairs/main floor was beautifully decorated and plenty spacious -- yes a few people sat on the floor when we were all inside in the evenings, but that's what we usually do with babies anyway. We cooked several meals for all of us and found the kitchen to be more than sufficient (and without Teflon-leaching pans -- I don't know what that review was about.) Couldn't find a cheese grater, though! Yes, the bathroom and shower are small. It's a mountain cabin. It was clean and functional, though! We brought our 22 ft fiberglass boat, and easily docked it at the house. We had a fantastic time out on the lake every day -- glad we brought our wetsuits so late in the season! As other reviews have stated, there are lots of stairs and the ramp to the floating dock is steep without a hand rail. This is not a good property for unsure-footed individuals. But it can't be beat for a lake house in the beautiful Wallowas!"
