"I hate to write this review for I would like to save this treasure all for myself, but here goes:
Wow! Incredible! I've rented lots of properties through the years, but this home is the best ever. Beautifully situated on a very private mountainside several miles above the community of Brightwood, you'll enjoy a very well maintained road to access theroperty A wonderful wrap around porch will lead you into this spacious, ultra-well maintained home. We have a gourmet kitchen, but this kitchen has utensils you won't find in any other rental. Everything is well organized for your visit and comfort. You have the feeling here of being far from the world, yet the Mt Hood Villages are quite near as are great hikes and other activities. If we lived in nearby Portland instead of Southern California, we would be frequent visitors to this home. Robert Small"

"We enjoyed our stay very much! The cabin is as described and has very comfortable livingroom seating areas with a very nice rustic fireplace as well as a potbelly gas fireplace, which kept the cabin warm, and the beds were very comfortable. There was WiFi and hot tub, which we enjoyed. Although, it is located in a little congested neighborhood area; my reason for rating 4stars; there were several rundown homes very close to the cabin and the gravel road to reach the cabin was a little ruff. Not things the owner would be responsible for, but worth mentioning, because we were surprised when we first pulled into the area where the cabin was situated. We'd assumed it would be situated in an area of its own. Nonetheless, it still was pleasant and quiet, and we weren't bothered. We had six adults in our group, and we had plenty of room. Our purpose for staying in the area was to go snowboarding. It took us about 20 mins from the cabin to Timberline Lodge and there were several places to eat and buy last minute supplies, etc. We had all our meals at the cabin; it had a fully stocked kitchen with very nice cooking essentials and pots and pans. We had some very last minute changes and the owner was very accommodating and very responsive to emails & messages. In fact, she was outstanding! We would definitely stay there again."

"We stayed at the Brightwood house with our two small kids. The house was beautiful, clean, and well appointed for the meals we cooked. So close to Portland and such a beautiful, quiet, forest neighborhood. Neighbors also very friendly when they noticed our car dome light on overnight and checked to see if we needed a jump start. We will be back!!"
