"We stayed at the Brightwood house with our two small kids. The house was beautiful, clean, and well appointed for the meals we cooked. So close to Portland and such a beautiful, quiet, forest neighborhood. Neighbors also very friendly when they noticed our car dome light on overnight and checked to see if we needed a jump start. We will be back!!"

"We enjoyed our stay very much! The cabin is as described and has very comfortable livingroom seating areas with a very nice rustic fireplace as well as a potbelly gas fireplace, which kept the cabin warm, and the beds were very comfortable. There was WiFi and hot tub, which we enjoyed. Although, it is located in a little congested neighborhood area; my reason for rating 4stars; there were several rundown homes very close to the cabin and the gravel road to reach the cabin was a little ruff. Not things the owner would be responsible for, but worth mentioning, because we were surprised when we first pulled into the area where the cabin was situated. We'd assumed it would be situated in an area of its own. Nonetheless, it still was pleasant and quiet, and we weren't bothered. We had six adults in our group, and we had plenty of room. Our purpose for staying in the area was to go snowboarding. It took us about 20 mins from the cabin to Timberline Lodge and there were several places to eat and buy last minute supplies, etc. We had all our meals at the cabin; it had a fully stocked kitchen with very nice cooking essentials and pots and pans. We had some very last minute changes and the owner was very accommodating and very responsive to emails & messages. In fact, she was outstanding! We would definitely stay there again."

"My two sisters, myself and my 95 year old Mother rented this cabin from Sept 28 - Oct 12. Neither the property description nor the photos do this amazing place justice. We felt at home the minute we opened the door. There were games and puzzles, a partially stocked refrigerator (staples), and comfortable furniture including a hammock. Every evening we lit the very efficient wood burning fireplace and gathered around for family conversation. The home is so close to the river, the sound of the gentle rapids was part of our environment whether we were inside or out. Frankly, I had assumed we would do a lot of hiking and exploring the area. Turned out, we mostly just hung out at the cabin."
