"We were two families (4 adults, 6 young kids) and this house fit our needs/wants to a T. The location was perfect for us. We skied Timberline as it was the hill that best suits our range of skills/needs (nice lodge, good dining, etc) - and this house is essentially at the base of the Timberline exit off the highway. And literally right next to Summit Ski Park, after hours the kids sauntered over to the Summit hill with sleds and it was like a young child's dream to have a hill like that all to themselves for sledding - just steps away. We adults found our amusement watching the kids from the kitchen windows that are perched high and tall with great view, sipping our coffee and laughing hysterically. The house was a joy from the moment we entered. Our kids walked in first and with a fun blueprint the house felt like an adventure from the start (they didn't want to leave). The kitchen was great, the living spaces were cozy, and the design integrated the spaces in a way that provides a festive group experience. Having had a vacation rental ourselves in the past I will attest to the great attention to detail. The list goes on, but the kitchen was well equipped for group cooking/dining, with drawers cabinets all labeled - making it orderly/efficient. There were plenty of games, movies, etc. which the kids indulged in. We happened to have extremely wet weather and were pleased to find two washers and two dryers to make our laundering at days end quicker. Some billiards and hot tubbing for adults later in the evening was certainly nice as well. Coming from Portland it's a short trip for us and we will certainly be back!"Guest: Chip R. "Relaxing and close to fun activities like hiking, fishing, kayaking, and ski bowl summer recreation. Premium cable a huge plus with the kids on a rainy day. Internet a bog plus with parents. Plenty of sleeping spade and the kitchen makes it easy to do all your meals without going to restaurants. Would definitely come back again. Having our Lab around was also a big plus."Guest: Katie Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 4, 2014View listing
"All 11 of us had plenty of beds to choose from. Nice size kitchen with lots of amenities. Large dining table with extra chairs through out the house, if needed. Has a nice entertainment area down stairs with 6 bunk beds for kids. Us adults each had our own bedrooms. Also, living room is a nice size. We would love to stay here again without a dough!"Guest: Bonnie Date of Stay: December 2013 Review Submitted: December 29, 2013View listing
