  • Very Quaint Cabin!

"We enjoyed our stay very much! The cabin is as described and has very comfortable livingroom seating areas with a very nice rustic fireplace as well as a potbelly gas fireplace, which kept the cabin warm, and the beds were very comfortable. There was WiFi and hot tub, which we enjoyed. Although, it is located in a little congested neighborhood area; my reason for rating 4stars; there were several rundown homes very close to the cabin and the gravel road to reach the cabin was a little ruff. Not things the owner would be responsible for, but worth mentioning, because we were surprised when we first pulled into the area where the cabin was situated. We'd assumed it would be situated in an area of its own. Nonetheless, it still was pleasant and quiet, and we weren't bothered. We had six adults in our group, and we had plenty of room. Our purpose for staying in the area was to go snowboarding. It took us about 20 mins from the cabin to Timberline Lodge and there were several places to eat and buy last minute supplies, etc. We had all our meals at the cabin; it had a fully stocked kitchen with very nice cooking essentials and pots and pans. We had some very last minute changes and the owner was very accommodating and very responsive to emails & messages. In fact, she was outstanding! We would definitely stay there again."

  • Tucked away in a wonderland

"We hosted a bachelor party here, using the house as a base for 3 straight days of river floats and two mountain biking trips. The house was a cool oasis in roasty July wether in the upper 80's. Sitting on the deck we enjoyed one of the most beautiful sunsets we had ever seen (seriously, the clouds and the valley framed it in a way that made us feel like we were IN it, and we were not stoned!). The next night we got a crystal clear view of the Milky Way and an active meteor shower. Wow. The only things I wish I had known ahead of time were how steep and gravely the driveway was (though we made it down and up even in our 2WD vehicles), and that part of clean up includes emptying the dishwasher. But these were minor things. We would definitely come back again to use this magical place as our launchpad for Hood River adventures."

  • beautifully updated inside and comfy

"Easy drive to get wherever you wanted to go. They provided everything they could thin of to keep you from packing in a ton of things. Suggest garage door opener andperperhaps a small deck to sit out front to enjoy river view. Totally enjoyed our stay. Also felt it could have been a tad cheaper for the area it is in, but again, we had a great time."

  • Bird's Eye on Relaxation

"Back home it was 98 degrees. We wanted a cool mountain/forest getaway. This A-Frame was perfectly cool. A forest breeze came through the screen door on the front and swept through the screen door on the back deck. We loved the hot tub and beautiful view of the forest all around. The loft bed was so nice and the viewing windows we're reflect for viewing nature. I walked for 7 minutes to the best BBQ restraunt and another 7 minutes to easy access to trails along the Zigzag River. Saw salmon spawning and caught (and released) red-side steelhead. We also enjoyed a couple of hikes into the Wildwood Recreation Area."
