"Spacious kitchen, dining and living areas. Lovely porch that looks onto the meadow beyond which is the Salmon River. Horseshoes, ping pong, climbing wall and fusbal to entertain. Great stargazing from the meadow, but take a quarter mile walk to the nearby golf course for a knockout expanse of stars. Well-stocked kitchen makes cooking really easy. Medium-sized grocery store nearby with good quality choices."

"I initially picked this cabin because it allowed pets but it was so clean and comfortable that I'd stay again even if I didn't have a dog. Great hiking in the area and beautiful scenery. The river is about 200 feet in front of the cabin and you can hear it at night with the windows open. The owners were quick to respond to any questions and they left great instructions for everything. I would stay here again!!"

"It was my turn to host Thanksgiving this year so I thought we would all (twenty family members) stay at one place instead of hotels. Maple River Retreat was everything I could ask for! It accommodated us all comfortably with ample room to cook, play and just relax, there are beds for 16 not 20, but this was not a problem because some folks brought air mattresses. When we ran low on wood to burn Becca promply restocked us, even on Thanksgiving day. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at the Resort at the Mountain (I would recommend it). Some of my family members had never been to the NW and needless to say they were speechless with the beauty and the retreat! Becca thankyou so much for sharing this wonderful house I would not hesitate to come back!"

"I planned a rafting trip in Maupin, OR and rented this home for the weekend as a mini vacation spot. The house was everything that I wanted and more. Even better was the excellent communication with Pete about the home from day 1. The house was great for five teens, my boyfriend and I. We loved that the home is pet friendly as our dogs are part of the family and we hate to leave them behind. My daughter stayed back from rafting to watch them as she does not care to be on the water. We loved the lower deck and also that you really can hear the river from the house. We used the BBQ for dinners and that was very convenient. The home was clean and stocked with all the supplies that we needed. It was very close to stores when we needed to pick up groceries. The amenities of the house were just perfect. My son lounged in the hammock while other teens played badminton and later on I enjoyed the hot tub with my boyfriend. We also liked the pool table in the other bldg. That was also a nice spot to hang out in. You can tell they put a lot of work in their property. It is well cared for and a very nice place to be. Our weekend was absolutely perfect. I plan to go back next summer when we go rafting again."
