"We enjoyed our stay very much! The cabin is as described and has very comfortable livingroom seating areas with a very nice rustic fireplace as well as a potbelly gas fireplace, which kept the cabin warm, and the beds were very comfortable. There was WiFi and hot tub, which we enjoyed. Although, it is located in a little congested neighborhood area; my reason for rating 4stars; there were several rundown homes very close to the cabin and the gravel road to reach the cabin was a little ruff. Not things the owner would be responsible for, but worth mentioning, because we were surprised when we first pulled into the area where the cabin was situated. We'd assumed it would be situated in an area of its own. Nonetheless, it still was pleasant and quiet, and we weren't bothered. We had six adults in our group, and we had plenty of room. Our purpose for staying in the area was to go snowboarding. It took us about 20 mins from the cabin to Timberline Lodge and there were several places to eat and buy last minute supplies, etc. We had all our meals at the cabin; it had a fully stocked kitchen with very nice cooking essentials and pots and pans. We had some very last minute changes and the owner was very accommodating and very responsive to emails & messages. In fact, she was outstanding! We would definitely stay there again."

"Stay in the Stuga if you want a nice little home in a beautiful secluded setting. We had a wonderful time here on our honeymoon and plan on coming back. The oven was broken so we weren't able to back the things we had bought for the cabin. We hope that some of the appliances that were not working will be fixed by then. The true highlight of this property is the beautiful surroundings, enjoy them!"

"Happy friends day. We had such an amazing time here at the Rivers Nest.
Spending time with friends and singing songs around the fireplace. Weather was less than pleasant. We were happy to have such a warm and comforting lodge to come back to and play games. We had such a great time here and its definitely one we will not forget."

"My husband and I just stayed at Kathy's Kottage Feb, 2015. We have stayed in 17 cabins either on Mt Hood or Mt Rainier over the past 24 years, and we've decided this is our favorite! There have been many great features at most of the places we have stayed, but what sets Kathy's Kottage above the rest is that it feels like more than just a rental cabin - it feels like a "home"..and one that has not only been well kept up, but one that has been made special, as if the owner was expecting an out of town family member or friend! There are so many pieces of attractive furniture, that are comfortable as well, including the beds! Most other places have one couch and maybe a wooden rocking chair! The kitchen is as well stocked as my own (minus the food!, there was plenty of wood for the fire, and even basic medicine in the medicine cabinet! The Kottage had a rustic feel with tasteful decor, but was also contemporary. The setting was fabulous!!! Our prerequisite for renting a cabin is that it has a hot tub, and we prefer that it's on a river. Kathy's Kottage had both, and the hot tub was on the deck CLOSE to the house overlooking the river, and although you are in the forest, the river cuts a wide berth so that there is much light on the trees, and beautiful sky up above! We were married up on Mt Hood, so we love the mountain, and although it was so strange to see such a lack of snow (hence no x-country skiing!), we took a couple really nice hikes; since the Kabin is further up the mountain than many we have stayed in, these hikes were conveniently nearby. We will back, maybe even for a whole week next year for our 25th anniversary!"
