  • Love this place

"WE had the most wonderful peaceful place to stay here. Best Chalet I ever rented. Pete was great to work with and very helpful with everything. My favorite place was the hammock by the Zigzag River. It's awesome."

  • Fantastic Views, Comfortable Home

"Two couples from NJ recently spent a long weekend in Hood River with this cabin as our base for exploring the Hood River area. We wish we'd had more time, as there is so much to do! Kayak rentals, sailboard lessons and kiteboard lessons are just some of the water based activities on the Columbia that are available right here. Hiking trails are also plentiful. The listing is accurate in the description and in the photos. We were easily able to find the cabin in it's semi-remote location, even though we arrived in the dark, using the detailed directions provided by the owner. For anyone seeking a "cabin in the woods" getaway, we can recommend VRBO 302136!"

  • Fun Get-a-way

"Awesome cabin - exactly as described - a homey, clean, neat and tidy cabin in the woods. A lovely quiet get-a-way. Wonderful deck. We will stay here again. Lynn was great answering questions and concerns during the rental experience."

  • Great getaway with one issue...

"We stayed here for a week for a nearby family reunion. It's a great place for 2 adults (1 Queen bed) and 3 children (3 Twin beds). When we arrived late Thursday night, the house was fairly easy to find. Our only major issue was that the house was obviously NOT cleaned in between renters. The washed dishes were still in the rack and (more importantly) the bedding had been stripped by the previous renters, ready to be washed. Tired and late, we left all the sheets, pillow cases and duvet cover in the corner for us to wash in the morning. This was pretty frustrating after a long day of flying/traveling. We didn't find a second set of sheets, so we had to sleep without them. Other than that, this is a VERY cute home! Walking distance to Huckleberry Inn restaurant and 10 mins driving to Timberline Lodge. There aren't any pictures of this home in the summer, but I assure you, it's beautiful! The inside has one small TV with basic cable (though you'll never need it!), 2 FULL bathroom, kitchen with basic cooking tools, microwave, coffee maker, large washer & dryer with laundry soap (very useful!) and fireplace. It's much bigger on the inside than it looks from the pictures. We were very pleasantly surprised."
