"When I initially was looking for a weekend away with my family I was determined to find a place that felt like a special treat away from home. This was just that! The special touches like when we arrived, the cottage was warm and inviting. Very clean! We were shocked at how well stocked It was. We brought way to many things that we never needed or used. The decor, the set up, the jacuzzi bath, the wood stove and so much more added to our great experience.
I would love to come back in the summer months and take advantage of the outdoor fire pit along with the creak.
Great memories were made!"

"The property was easy to find with the directions provided. The location is convenient to Hoodland Thriftway (they have groceries, beer, growler fill station, and a DVD rental machine!) and other restaurants along 26 that we did not try. The immediate property has road that curves around it, but it is well forested so the property still feels private. The road had very little traffic, we enjoyed going for a walk down the road.
The property itself is primarily on the upper level. We found the furnishings to be completely adequate and in good order. The TV is an old tube model, but works well (not blurry or dim). A flat-screen LED would be a nice upgrade, but we watched movies just fine in the tube TV. You're not there to watch TV the whole time, after all. The lower level was notably cooler than the upper level, but it was tolerable. The bar area is VERY cool and would be perfect for a pool table... but works quite nicely in it's current form with the game table there.
The overall cleanliness of the unit exceeded my expectations, especially for a "cabin" type of rental. The jacuzzi was clean and was chlorinated at the high range of what I would reasonably expect for a unit in use by the public. There is NO light out there, except for some plug in lamps that really aren't appropriate. I high recommend either a higher quality plug-in unit or having a light fixture added. It was also very hot (104*F), we turned it down and let it cool off before using it.
We enjoyed going to Little Zigzag Falls, the Wildwood Recreation Site, Mt Hood Brewing Co, and Timberline Lodge. It was nice for our group to be able to come back, cook dinner, play cards, and relax with our books after each day of exploring the area.
I would come back. 6 people can be accommodated here comfortably, especially if a couple or two is in the group to stay upstairs in the two primary bedrooms. This is the kind of place I imagine enjoying in the future, when both us and the couple we travel with have children that are old enough to hang out downstairs in the bunk beds and game room area after a day of hiking and playing, and the parents can sit upstairs and read."

"The word "perfect" is used too often these days, but in this case it might actually be true. The owner Becky was friendly, responded quickly and was an absolute pleasure to work with. The property itself is a beautiful cabin that feels like it's very isolated even though it's fairly close to everything we needed. ALL agreed that it was priced far too cheaply for what it was. Unique, spacious layout with an amazing fireplace...really what a cabin should be. The copper tub in the upstairs bathroom was a huge draw as well as the beautifully done kitchen and back yard fire pit that gave it a real "woodsy" feel. We had 8 people and all fit with room to spare. LOVED it. Can't say enough good things. Everyone especially liked the visits from the black lab (Ellie?) we were told about in the visitor book...she was a VERY sweet dog and we didn't mind giving her a treat at all. My only regret was that it wasn't the right time of year for snow because then our stay might have truly been perfect...although 99.9999999 out of ten ain't half bad and this winter is quickly approaching! Thanks again Becky."

"This is a great cabin, with lots of (clean) room inside & lots of trees outside to give privacy. The setting is very quiet, with a creek running in the back. There is a peacock that will visit you on the deck every day for a snack! We had a problem with the hot tub and the owner came out the next day, and gave some money back for not having it work the first day. Very satisfied!"
