  • House with Character!

"The location was fantastic - but if walking be prepared for a tough up hill from downtown. This is an older home that has lots of character and fun hiding places for kids. The kitchen is very well stocked and that was appreciated by our family. It is a very comfortable home not fancy or luxurious. The heat was hard to regulate. It seemed the heat would not come on until the temperature was well below the setting. The house also did not heat evenly making the bedrooms very cold while lower level was warmer. The fireplace worked well. It really warmed the entire first level of the home. I would suggest that the owners provide a fireplace screen and tools for the fireplace."

  • Awesome Hood River Home

"I stayed with two girlfriends for a weekend getaway. We had a blast - the house is in a pretty great location and very cute. There are all the amenities a girl could hope for - blow dryer, straightener, shampoo etc. Very easy entry, owner was flexible and available for questions throughout our stay. I highly recommend this property!!!"

  • Great getaway with one issue...

"We stayed here for a week for a nearby family reunion. It's a great place for 2 adults (1 Queen bed) and 3 children (3 Twin beds). When we arrived late Thursday night, the house was fairly easy to find. Our only major issue was that the house was obviously NOT cleaned in between renters. The washed dishes were still in the rack and (more importantly) the bedding had been stripped by the previous renters, ready to be washed. Tired and late, we left all the sheets, pillow cases and duvet cover in the corner for us to wash in the morning. This was pretty frustrating after a long day of flying/traveling. We didn't find a second set of sheets, so we had to sleep without them. Other than that, this is a VERY cute home! Walking distance to Huckleberry Inn restaurant and 10 mins driving to Timberline Lodge. There aren't any pictures of this home in the summer, but I assure you, it's beautiful! The inside has one small TV with basic cable (though you'll never need it!), 2 FULL bathroom, kitchen with basic cooking tools, microwave, coffee maker, large washer & dryer with laundry soap (very useful!) and fireplace. It's much bigger on the inside than it looks from the pictures. We were very pleasantly surprised."
