  • The best house we've rented on the OR coast

"We had a great stay. The views from the porch and upper deck (hot tub) are beautiful. It's close enough to Cannon Beach without being in the fray. It'd be great if it were right on the water, but you can hear and see the ocean and it's only a 5 minute walk. The kitchen is well appointed (My daughter and I love to cook.) and there's a grill. We had two adults and three kids. I wouldn't have any more than that (especially if one or more of the kids is a teenager, but that's a different issue altogether.) And the finishing touch...1/2 dozen razor clams from the owner when we ran into him the morning we checked out. (I actually had fun figuring out how to clean them and they were delicious! Thank you!)"

  • Tranquil Beach Getaway

"We love to go to Cove Cottage. We have been there in the spring summer and fall. If you love nature, the ocean, hiking, biking, kayaking and just relaxing in a beautiful setting this is a wonderful location. Tucked in Oswald West State Park, with fabulous view of the ocean, a short walk to an uncrowded beach, this home has a spacious and private feeling to it. It is very clean with a vaulted ceiling common room and well outfitted kitchen. We spotted wales right from the deck and we could even see the fins and tail of a young whale as he practiced diving over and over. There are always sand dollars on the beach. This spring we saw the illusive velella velella a diminutive saphire blue relative of the jelly fish with a diaphanous sail, that gets stranded in great numbers on the beach at times in the spring. There are always surprises."

  • Nice Beach

"The house was well stocked with basic essentials. The beds were comfortable and windows made for great views. Home is not on the beach but an easy walk. Beach was very private and great for boogie boarding/surfing. The house could have used some deep cleaning-dusting but was not a major distraction. Pellet stove was easy to use and kept the house plenty warm. Upstairs rooms with two beds did not have window shades over the large windows and therefore didn't allow for privacy or sleeping in due to the light coming into the rooms. Overall we enjoyed our stay."

  • BEACH PARADISE!

"We had a total of 8 adults and 5 kids in this home for our annual family reunion. Of all the houses we've rented over a period of 5 years, we all agreed that this was our favorite! The home itself is located in Arch Cape, a short drive from busy Cannon Beach. We all appreciated the peace and quite that we got on the fairly empty beach as opposed to the hustle and bustle of Cannon Beach proper. The house had everything we needed. The beds were super comfortable, the hot tub was great, the views were gorgeous, and there was plenty of room for our large family. The owner to the property was extremely prompt with all e-mails and communication as well. We will definitely book this home again in the future!"
