  • Magical view

"My husband and I LOVED our stay at this Falcon Cove beach house. The views never end. We picked wild blackberries in the woods at the front of the home, took beach walks at low tide, and enjoyed hiking in nearby state parks, but mostly we enjoyed the views. The owner is very helpful and friendly via phone and emails. The house itself is very clean and user friendly. It is better in person than in the photos. There are two queen Murphy beds downstairs, and one that we used was particularly comfortable. We also used the upstairs queen. The kitchen is well-equipped. The owner even had provided laundry detergent and coffee and many board games for use. Note that the beach access is limited during high tide. Also not that young children would need to be closely watched outside as the deck overhangs a cliff above the ocean. The house is a 10 minute drive from a small but well-stocked grocery store in Manzanita."

  • Unique and Wonderful

"This home is such a great find! The home is very clean and updated. Unique layout allows for a lot of privacy. Beautiful views from the various decks. Sauna and hot tub are wonderful treats and very nice. We had a great time and felt this house could not have been better. Owners and property managers were beyond helpful and easy to work with. We will be back!"

  • The best!

"Absolutely one of the most comfortable, welcoming homes we have stayed in! We lacked nothing, felt totally welcomed and peaceful. The "Little caper" fit the needs of my daughter and her 14 month old perfectly! Everything from the moment we drove up to the time we left was delightful! The beach is a short walk from the house, calm and practically deserted. The booster chair was a hit, the beds very comfy and the kitchen very well equipped. Bless you Michele for letting our little family find some much needed rest and relaxation."

  • Perfect December beach weekend at the Mermaid

"We stayed a weekend for our anniversary and really enjoyed our time at The Mermaid. It's a great location with a nice beach just a short walk away. It's rocky during high tide, but fun to explore. Also, being situated between Cannon Beach and Manzanita is ideal with lots of options for restaurants and shopping. If you love coffee, don't miss Sleepy Monk coffee shop in Cannon Beach. The house is beautiful and very tastefully decorated. It had everything we needed. We knew a December beach trip might be mostly filled with staying indoors and so we wanted a place that is enjoyable to be inside and the Mermaid delivered. However, the weather also cooperated and we got out a bit as well. The view is nice up on a hill but is not a big ocean view. It's great for looking out at the trees and horizon though. Also there is not a lot to break up the wind so it does get a little loud when it's stormy. That's part of the great winter oregon coast experience though so we liked it. Note: The hot tub temperature can get REALLY hot so be careful there. Overall we loved our stay and will return. Recommended!"
