  • Great View...Great Location

"The cottage was a great find for us. Its affordable, has a great view and is very close to the beach with easy access nearby. Our group was relatively small but the house could have accommodated many more. Having the kitchen and living room on the second floor really takes advantage of the amazing view. We are not very experienced vacation renters but the owners made it very easy. It was a great space and Arch Cape is a wonderful place to enjoy the Oregon Coas."

  • Tranquil Beach Getaway

"We love to go to Cove Cottage. We have been there in the spring summer and fall. If you love nature, the ocean, hiking, biking, kayaking and just relaxing in a beautiful setting this is a wonderful location. Tucked in Oswald West State Park, with fabulous view of the ocean, a short walk to an uncrowded beach, this home has a spacious and private feeling to it. It is very clean with a vaulted ceiling common room and well outfitted kitchen. We spotted wales right from the deck and we could even see the fins and tail of a young whale as he practiced diving over and over. There are always sand dollars on the beach. This spring we saw the illusive velella velella a diminutive saphire blue relative of the jelly fish with a diaphanous sail, that gets stranded in great numbers on the beach at times in the spring. There are always surprises."

  • The perfect romantic getaway!

"My partner and I just finished our second weeklong stay here, and we could not be happier. We started our day with Barbara's wonderful breakfasts, and looked forward to the remainder of our day in and around this beautiful area. Walking on the beach, strolling nearby Cannon Beach and the newly revitalized Astoria, or simply lying next to the fire to watch the winter storms. The accommodation is a wonderfully rustic and cozy place. The kitchen is stocked with enough equipment to cover your culinary needs. The settee by the large window was our favorite perch. Barbara and Jim have a wonderful library (with an impressive collection of local history), a well stocked game cupboard, and wifi access. Our many thanks to our gracious hosts for providing such a wonderful atmosphere. We have decided to make this our annual retreat!"

"We had a total of 8 adults and 5 kids in this home for our annual family reunion. Of all the houses we've rented over a period of 5 years, we all agreed that this was our favorite! The home itself is located in Arch Cape, a short drive from busy Cannon Beach. We all appreciated the peace and quite that we got on the fairly empty beach as opposed to the hustle and bustle of Cannon Beach proper. The house had everything we needed. The beds were super comfortable, the hot tub was great, the views were gorgeous, and there was plenty of room for our large family. The owner to the property was extremely prompt with all e-mails and communication as well. We will definitely book this home again in the future!"
