  • I really wanted to stay longer!

"I had the joy of being able to stay here for two months, from Aug. 1 to Sept. 30, 2012. The house is cute, cozy and very clean. The pictures do not do the interior justice. I believe they were taken before the home was furnished. It is comfortably furnished. Both beds were comfortable. I slept one night downstairs but chose the upstairs bedroom for the rest of my stay. The view from the upstairs window and deck was fantastic, both day and night. I had wonderful views of the bridge and the river. The Safeway and a Trolley stop are within walking distance. The neighbors are friendly and I got adopted by the cat from next door, even though I never fed it. It loved being petted. I enjoyed reading on the front porch or on the upper deck. The owner's son lives nearby if anything goes amiss. I have some friends who live in various parts of Oregon who came to visit and they loved the house. My sister came from Arizona and she loved the house and fell in love with Astoria. There were so many things to do in Astoria that I missed many of them because they were happening at the same times. Be sure to visit the Sunday Market, the Flavell House, the Maritime Museum, the Trolley (more than once), the Heritage Museum and just wander downtown and some of the residential streets if you can. I cannot imagine spending only one week in Astoria. I really hated leaving. I still miss the great views and listening to the sea lions."

  • Great house, great location

"This was a great house for our 3-generation group of 12. Yes, Marine Drive is the main street through Astoria and, yes, the house is located near the onramp to the Astoria-Megler Bridge, but we barely heard the noise from this traffic. On the contrary, we considered the location to be ideal because we were so close to the River Walk and the trolley, which opens up most of Astoria. We had no Wi-Fi problems (and we used a lot of gadgets). The house was clean and comfortable and Kelly was great to work with."

  • Al

"We stayed for 4 nights with 2 families total of 7 people, youngest being 16. Lots of room and beds. The basement is one of the better smelling basements for the beach. I have owned a beach house with a basement and never smelled as good as this one (don't know what those other people were talking about). It is not the fancies that we have rented but the best value we have ever found. It is a 5 bedroom that the upstairs bedroom is the size of 2 rooms. My only request would be a bigger TV and a Queen on main floor. Fast return of deposit."

  • Comfortable, Roomy and Quiet

"Our stay was for 10 days. It was perfect for the four of us and plenty of room for a couple of guests to be comfortable. We all loved the evenings around the fire place. I like that it’s close enough to everything but away from the traffic noise. We heard more noise from the sea birds and Sea Lions than automobile traffic! Sometime in the future I hope to return to your place and enjoy just relaxing and checking out Astoria a bit more. Anyway, thanks, terrific place!"
