"I stayed at this lovely home over a long weekend with my sisters, daughter, and neice. The house is nestled in a quiet neighborhood, a short walk from the heart of Manzanita and the beach. A very clean, comfortable, roomy, and well-appointed home. Carol's tidy kitchen is better equipped than my own! We enjoyed sitting out on the large, private deck with its many seating areas. I highly recommend this house and would love to visit again."

"I was so pleased with this house and our vacation in Oceanside. It really was our family's best vacation ever. I was worried because it was big risk to rent a house in a place sight unseen and travel the 16 hours with three young kids to get there. It was so worth it. I'd rebook this house in a heartbeat if we had the time and money to do it.
First, the location: Oceanside is heaven on earth and I can't imagine a better spot to get the Oregon coast experience. All within 15 minutes (or even 2 minutes) you have a beautiful beach full of sand dollars and shells and waves that kids could play in for hours, stunning sea stacks (make sure you go through the tunnel at the most northern part of the beach to get to the rest of the beach and more sea stacks), tide pools, a lighthouse, hiking trails (check out cape lookout state park) and a larger town for groceries (tillamook). I have a suspicion there is way more than what we discovered; we need to go back. There aren't big crowds and there's so much beach you can easily get away from any people there might be.
The house: What a view! We felt very comfortable and the house had everything we needed. It was so nice to be able to cook in the kitchen (and save money by not eating out). The kids loved making s'mores on the fire pit. The adults loved being able to grill up some dinner. The only issue with the house, as has been stated in other reviews, is the stairs which were only a consideration because we had an older member of the family with somewhat limited mobility. (We knew any beach house we went to this would be a problem because all beach houses are built upwards). Fortunately he was able to go up and down and for times when he didn't feel up for going all the way down to the beach or hiking, I was so grateful for the TV with cable (or satelite?) so he wasn't bored while we were gone. If you have a member that really can't do stairs, you need to know there are a lot of them. Also, the stair case up to the upper bedroom with the two queens and futon are extremely steep and could almost be called a ladder. We were fine with them but I was a little worried about my almost toddler going up and down them--perhaps bring a tension baby gate if your baby is really determined and drawn to stairs. There is a gate on the stairs coming down from the deck so I wasn't worried about baby out on the deck.
Booking, payment and receiving the key all went perfectly smoothly. I will for sure be using VRBO in the future."

Bright and Cheery Beach Cottage - Highly Recommended
"Talk about a summer getaway with great convenience! What a cozy cottage nestled in a central neighborhood. Owner gives great description of house. It has a ton of windows that not only let in sunshine, but also the fresh ocean air. Place is clean, has nice beds and linens. Home improvements are apparent - there's a new couch and wonderful photography. I enjoyed the music from local bar and felt like I had a private performance. Pros: Large sunny patio w/BBQ grill, washer/dryer and real working fireplace for those chilly beach nights! Looking forward to returning and telling friends about this gem of a place!"
