"It is always a risk to book a home for a vacation, and we have had experiences that have disappointed, but not this house. We were completely surprised by the size, especially all the bedrooms, the upstairs family room and games room. There were seven of us and we all had ample space to be together or have alone and quiet time. It was very clean and had everything anyone would need, except the food. We even had roasting sticks for bonfires on the beach. The beds were all very comfortable. We loved the little entrance to the cul de sac , almost a hidden treasure. We walked to the beach once, but it is a little far to go with young children in tow. It was a great location for a base as we traveled north to Astoria and as far south as Tillamook. The owner was very approachable and responded quickly to emails. This was among one of the best homes we have stayed in and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone."Guest: D & C Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 5, 2014View listing
"We had 10 adults and 2 children and none of us felt "trapped" in the house even though there was a brief rain storm. Our friends, 4 more adults and 3 children were staying near by and they stopped over for a BBQ, we hit maximum capacity and it was cozy but there was room. We didn't get to enjoy the property because of the rain, but we are Oregonians so we still golfed!"Guest: Lovethebeach Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: May 24, 2014View listing
"After 3 days of driving we arrived in Gearhart to find a lot more house than we needed but a wonderful house that was very nicely appointed and laid out. We explored and decided to stay in the top level with the kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. We were extremely comfortable, only had 1 contact with the owners and that was due to water to the washer being turned off due to severe cold weather before we arrived. All was good. and we had ducks in the river in the back yard, towns to explore near by, always made it back to Gearhart for sleeping and dinner/down time. We would definitely come back as it was nice and quiet."Guest: Paul Date of Stay: December 2013 Review Submitted: January 10, 2014View listing
"My family just returned from a four day stay at this house. We had 6 adults and 5 children, ages 4-12. The house was well equipped with games, lots of beds for sleeping, as well as a well stocked kitchen and pantry. We did some unplanned cooking and were pleased to find everything we needed in the pantry (which we replaced before leaving). The beach nearby is now my favorite Oregon beach because it is very long and relatively un-crowded. The house also had clamming shovels and buckets, giving us our first clamming experience. Checking in and put was made easy by the owner's clear instructions. It was a very enjoyable experience for us all."Guest: Sue M. Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 10, 2014View listing
