Manzanita Beach House
"Wonderful family friendly beach house. This is our go to house for family get togethers and has been for several years. The grand children call it our beach house, I wish. The view is just amazing, plus its a few steps and your on the beach. Its always nice and clean, nice big well stocked kitchen, big dinning room table.
We walk down the beach for our morning latte's in town.
Always sad to leave."

"The house location is excellent for beach and main street proximity. It was also well cleaned and bedding and linen were in good shape. Beds were comfortable and plenty of space to hang out. Kitchen worked fine for us. I'd say it's beach rental average for pots, pans and utensils but could use more glasses. The sliding door to the deck is difficult to open and all but one of the deck chairs were broken. Great deck would be that much better with a half dozen new chairs and some adjustment to the door. Would have been nice to have a mop for the kitchen. Only had one roll of paper towel in the house which ran out the first day. Internet, stereo and tv that we used all worked fine. Overall, good experience and would likely rent again for a big group trip."

"This home was nice and roomy. It has two bedrooms upstairs and two on the main level. The only complaint I have is the master bedroom mattress was way too firm for my back. So much so I had to swap bedrooms with my 6 year old daughter. The master bath has a shower and a big square jacuzzi tub. Lots of light on the upper level. The lower is definately darker. There is lots of cool art. The kitchen is very well appointed. I love that they don't remove all the extra cooking items in the fridge so you can use some soy sauce if you need. There is a nice deck off the kitchen for outdoor dining. The TV downstairs is a bit complicated to figure out and only has the very basic of stations so don't plan on catching the football game you were hoping to, etc. But you can bring your blue rays to enjoy. The lower rooms are nice too, with one more suited to adults and one with a bunk bed (full size on bottom). There is a sauna in that bathroom but we never used it. The beach is an easy 1 block stroll and the main drag of Laneda is also an easy 1 block stroll. On a personal note, I managed to forget I tucked my wedding rings in the nightstand to keep the kids from losing them. On our final morning my 3 year old locked us out of the bedroom so in the confusion I totally forgot all about them. In fact it took me 3 or 4 days to remember what I had done with them. I immediately emailed the rental people. They responded very quickly. They sent the cleaning service back to look and the rings were still sitting in the drawer! I was notified they were safe and sound and would be taken care of until I could arrange for them to be brought back to me. I was so impressed with how this situation was handled I just wanted to share it."

"The home itself is very stylish and comfortable, with all the amenities conducive to a pleasant stay. Although there are neighbors fairly near, there is no feeling of congestion, but one of privacy. The upstairs deck is designed to provide maximum shelter from the wind, and thus optimum enjoyment of the sunshine. The view from the deck is essentially onto what seems like a nature preserve. One day, when there was a slight wind, I was mesmerized by the gentle and rather melodic swaying of the leaves on a stand of deciduous trees. They were almost like a single living being. The beach is only about a 5 minute walk, and it is probably only about 15 minutes to the main street in Manzanita. I and my family thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
