"A wonderful little house with plenty of sleeping nooks upstairs. 3 bathrooms, well stocked with towels, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, etc. The woodwork is lovely and the whole place quite snug and homey feeling. We had 10 kids and our dogs and fit just fine. The yard is not fenced, but is tucked back on a long driveway. Only one block from the beach access. Pots, pans, and dishes were all adequate, and we loved their ceramics collection. We plan on choosing the home again if they continue to rent it out."

"Our 3rd visit to Heron's Rest was wonderful as expected. This was our longest stay~a FULL week! :) Although our 3 kids are getting bigger now, we all still fit comfortably in this cute little house. This visit, all of us brought our bikes to ride the streets and promenade~which is really quick to reach via bike. We always enjoy visiting the aquarium and feeding the seals. Cruising the main strip to include the Carousel Mall, Fultano's, Pig 'N Pancake, The Buzz candy store, and The Candyman for ice cream (because we're special!). This visit we especially enjoyed our day trip to Tillamook for our normal factory visit with samples and ice cream, but this time, we spotted the 18 hole putting green across the street and had a great time!! :) Another day we ventured out to Elsie to eat brunch at Camp 18 and wander the grounds. It was GREAT!! Back at the cabin, we really enjoyed the new chairs and new brick fire ring out back by the river for smores on the cooler evenings that we had this visit. We were happy to see the Heron several times in tree right out back as well. Communication before, during, and after our stay has been both timely and excellent with the owners. We love having this place as a home base~it's centrally located to venture out from and cozy to return too. We definitely look forward to returning!!"

"The house is in good condition and attractive. We enjoyed that the kitchen, livingroom, and two bedrooms were higher than usual. It is close to the beach and both parts of town. In case there is a tsunami, higher ground is just across the street from the gate.
We rented a boat in Netarts, a town a little north of Pacific City. We caught nine Dungeness crabs and a bunch of Rock Crabs. In Pacific City, we enjoyed the Farmers Market, the Mexican restaurant, and the Grateful Bread Bakery. Our fishing wasn't successful, but we saw other fishermen catching salmon.
Two small negatives: (1) I was able to access the Internet through my phone about half the time (my husband's phone about one-third). However, a short distance away is the Stimulus Cafe which has the Internet (closes at 6 pm). (2) The TV doesn't work, but it can play DVDs (fairly good selection)."

"In almost 30 years of recreating around the Pacific Northwest I've stayed in a wide variety of accommodations, from Northern California to Northern Vancouver Island. Dozens of wonderful places in absolutely gorgeous locations. But the '7Cs' is my absolute favorite. I've stayed here seven times, with various collections of family and friends, and they all love it too. The cabin is perfect, and so is the location. For my most recent visit, with my two best friends, I managed to confuse the dates of our stay. Our hosts responded graciously and generously. Now back home in Seattle, after the long drive in rush hour traffic, I close my eyes and remember the view from the deck and the sound of the ocean. Thanks again for a perfect getaway. Can't wait to return."
