"Four sisters (all over 59) stayed here for four nights. It's a nice home with great views of the river estuary that a LOT of birds frequent. We saw 2 bald eagles each day. The owner said we might see Elk, but we didn't. The house isn't new or newly remodeled, but it is clean and has everything you need. As you see in the provided photos. We liked that we each had our own bed. It's fairly close to downtown Seaside. Too far to walk, but close enough. Good tourist shopping in Seaside. We also shopped at Canon Beach but the shops were almost exactly the same. Canon Beach itself was nice, as was the beach at Seaside. We also shopped at the Seaside Outlet mall. We went to the Sunday Farmers Market in Astoria but it was the last day of the season and there wasn't much there. The Seaside locals said we should go, that we'd probably spend all day there, so I'm sure during the summer it is much larger. We ate lunch at Dundee's and the restaurant in the motel that's at the end of Broadway, at the beach (I can't think of the name). Dinner at Nonnie's was very delicious. Great service and wonderful food. If you think you're going to be at the beach, you really aren't. The beach, the ocean, the waves, are pretty far away from the house. You can see and hear them, but it's far away. You can walk out on the estuary, many people do, when the tide is out. We didn't need to use the fireplace, or fire pit. It's a nice place, very quiet there, good location. We'd go back again."Guest: Dave T. Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 23, 2014View listing
"The house was gorgeous, well equipped, and spacious. Communication is open with easy to follow instructions for your stay. It is well stocked with games, movies, TVs, bikes, and even surfboards. The high school students that I brought were thoroughly impressed with the layout."Guest: High School Leadership Advisor Date of Stay: November 2014 Review Submitted: November 12, 2014View listing
"My husband, son and I wanted to get away for a spontaneous weekend trip to the coast. The cottage was easy to find and close to the beach while still secluded from the typical tourists bustle. The kitchen was large and comfortable with lots of charm and a distinct personality. The living room was, as my son put it, "just perfect! now can I watch tv?" My husband would have "happily paid a nights stay at Scouts cottage" for the hot tub alone. The cottage had all the luxuries of modern homes (dishwasher, laundry, etc) while still feeling like a cottage by the sea. This meant I got to relax - spend time with my family, play board games, go to the beach and find constellations in the night's sky. All in all a wonderful experience. The biggest complaints I have 1- one of the burners on the stove was a bit finicky (but as it is a 6-burner I, you know, used one of the other 5). 2- the hot tub takes a while to heat up. and 3- the master bed is a bit lumpy (but no worse than the one I stay at when I visit the in-laws). We will most certainly be returning!"Guest: kalinakay Date of Stay: December 2014 Review Submitted: December 15, 2014View listing
"Where to start? Fabulous, private and wooded location. This yurt was beyond our expectations. Quality of both workmanship and interior accents were amazing! My family visited during 3 days of non stop heavy rains, and couldn't have been more comfortable! Jodi supplied anything and everything we needed...plus! We can't wait to return and use the outdoor bbq and fire pit. We hope to stay here for evermore...really!"Guest: Chatty Kathy Date of Stay: November 2014 Review Submitted: November 30, 2014View listing
