Chess at Seaside
"I had brought a large group of chess players to play at the state championships and they had the best time, not only at the tournament but at the beach house. We loved looking out the window and seeing the grass covered sand dunes and knowing the beach was so close by. We eventually got time to play in the sand and surf but unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. I could stand on the beach and watch them as groups easily traveled back and forth from the house until all had their fill of the beach. The kids did have a blast with the games that were thoughtfully stored at the home. Loved having so many toasters available for breakfast. There was a nice upper living room area with comfy sofas. The air hockey was a total hit with the kids. I enjoyed a late night hike on the Prom after the kids finally went to bed with no concerns about safety as it was well lit."

"This house gave us everything we could dream of. Across the street to wide beautiful beaches or a few steps around the corner to all the little cafes and shops of Manzanita. We were two couples with some Portland family just coming over for day visits on the weekend. We easily managed barbecues for 10 with the well appointed kitchen and lots of dishes and all the tools you might need. The kitchen was well stocked with all the little condiments to encourage fun cooking. And the house has extremely comfortable beds and relaxing and well furnished living room. In all, a dream vacation housel"

"This was a fabulous house for us. It is supplied thoroughly - quality kitchen, comfortable beds & bedding, comfortable living space, grill, fire pit, and perhaps the prettiest view of the Oregon coast available anywhere. We had kids and grandkids along and it worked perfectly for us all."

"This place is perfectly situated 2 blocks from the beach on a main (often busy) street in Cannon Beach. It's sparsely decorated with beautiful, dark hardwood floors, a spacious kitchen, and big windows facing the beach. You do have to close the blinds mid-day though because those windows don't open & the direct sun really can heat up the place. There aren't a lot of windows that open in the place (I counted 4 in the entire 2 bedroom house). The backyard is not fenced so if you come with dogs, they will always have to be on leash. There is a nice deck with a grill, perfect for dining al fresco. I didn't find the mattresses comfortable but it's rare to find a rental with good beds. Great location in a wonderful beach town!"
