  • Perfect Beach Cottage

"We stayed in this sweet little house for 4 nights. The only problem was we hadn't planned to stay longer. I knew we had picked the right place when the owner allowed us to check in a couple of hours early (thankfully for us no one had been in the house the night before) and we could get our baby down for her nap. The house is in a great location. The beach is an easy, short walk away, and so are all the cute shops in town. (The cinnamon rolls at the Ocean and Bread Bakery are out of this world!) The house was perfectly suited for our needs (two adults, 3 children and a dog). The beds were comfortable, the towels, linens and home were clean and everything was working nicely. We enjoyed coffee in the mornings on the sunny deck and spent the afternoons on the beach. Thank you for sharing this special place. We can't wait to come back."

  • Idyllic Condo when you need to get away

"I was looking for a new experience on a recent visit to Portland to see my daughter. She had been to the Coast once and loved it while I had never been. Based on her comments we decided a nice weekend getaway would be the perfect way to enliven our get togethers. After a few hours of searching for a rental condo I came across this particular unit- close to the beach, reasonably priced and not stuck in the main tourist areas. Well our trip turned out perfectly - beautiful weather (clear skies and mid 60's during the day), incredible scenery and sunsets and the perfect condo to wind down our days! First: Condo was exactly as the Poctures and reviews describe it. Two comfortable bedrooms (master was the best), nice bunk area for kids, great kitchen set-up with table and/or counter seating and a very comfortable family room next to the kitchen area to keep every connected during the meal times. Condo had every conceivable amenity: nice towels and bedding, washer/dryer (didn't use so no comment), TV's in each room as well as the family room. Selection of movies (family friendly), a fully stocked kitchen (stove, oven, toaster oven, frig) and all the utensils and cooking items you could want. Fireplace worked very well (wood is available at any of the local stores - Fred Meyer had the cheapest). Stores were no more than 3-4 miles away so we always hit them on our way back - did not eat at any of the local restaurants although there seemed to be a nice selection. Beach is literally a three minute walk from the back door (but not visible from the condo - so be aware if that is essential). However, I do not feel that we missed anything by not having the beach view and you can't beat the price for what you get. Beach runs 1/2 mile south towards Seaside and then miles North so plenty of opportunity for walking. You are a ten minute drive to all of Seaside, 30 minutes to Astoria and Cannon Beach which also have great sights and hiking. Highly recommend this property - owners keep a clean well appointed unit and we're easy to deal with. I would definitely return if I get back to the area."

  • Amazing house and location

"This amazing property worked out perfectly for our family. Loved the open concept living/kichen area. We never felt crowded. The house is charming yet modern, super clean and well equipped. The beach is literally steps away. On our last day, we collected mussels at Cannon Beach early in the morning and spent the afternoon catching crabs (license required) right outside our door and enjoyed our last meal feasting on crab legs and mussel with pasta. It was a great experience for our grandkids. Can't think of a better way to end our vacation. We hope to return in 2016."
