"This was a great apartment to use as a base for exploring Portland! Plenty of restaurants very close by on 21st and 23rd Streets. There's a Trader Joe's Market about 4 blocks away, and a smaller specialty grocer about 1 block away. Blue Star Donuts, Salt and Straw Ice Cream, Pope House Bourbon Lounge, Serratto Restaurant are all mere blocks away, as is a trolley line one block north. It's an easy walk to the waterfront near the train station and the Pearl District, both 10-15 minutes away. Powell's Books was 15 minutes on the trolley. The Rose and Japanese Gardens about 10 minutes by car. Hills getting to them would have been a challenge for our group to walk.
I joined several friends and we all rented both of Ed's apartments in this 1905 Victorian (my 2-bedroom + the upstairs 3-bedroom). Both were spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and unexpectedly quiet for an in-town neighborhood with plenty of activities. The front porch is welcoming for people watching, and the parking space that comes with my 2-bedroom was especially handy, though street parking didn't appear to be much of a challenge, either.
Communication with Ed was easy and prompt, and when he was away for a portion of our stay, he connected us with someone else to apprise us of the particulars of the house. Everything went quite smoothly, and exceeded my expectations. I hope to be able to stay here when I return to Portland!"

"My husband and I came to Portland to visit our daughter and she made initial arrangements. The flat was very nice with comfortable homey feel. We enjoyed being able to easily walk to local restaurants. I would highly recommend this VRBO."

"We came to Portland over the Thanksgiving weekend to visit with my son in college. The house was warm, welcoming and fully stocked. The owners were accommodating and pleasant to work with. We were able to cook a nice Thanksgiving meal for our family and friends. There weren't a lot of large pots, but we made do with the pots and pans they had. We enjoyed the warmth of the fireplace and spent a little bit of time on the deck when it warmed up to 50's. We would certainly return to this lovely home on a future Portland trip."

"My husband Steve and I were looking for a quiet place within the city. This is the perfect place, look no more. The apartment was clean, cozy, had all the amenities needed. The bed was FABULOUS...slept every night like we were in our own bed. Lee Anne was there is needed, but we felt as if it were our own home. This is just a short drive to all the fabulous restaurants that Portland has to offer, and the beautiful Mt. Tabor Park. We will be back again for sure....Thanks Lee Anne!!!"
