  • Great PDX Home and location

"We rented this home because it had enough room for 3 families (6 adults and 2 babies). It was a beautifully maintained home. The owner made sure that everything was spelled out before we came, so that there were no misunderstandings. This is a 3 story home and if you can't do steps then I would advise against renting it. Loved the location, close to Hawthorne Street. We had our daughter's wedding so we were constantly in and out. This worked well for all of us because we didn't have to wait to do something with other family members because of transportation. With everything close by we walked to many of gatherings that were going on. This property is close to stores, restaurants and entertainment. So happy we chose to rent this home."

  • Awesome location & nice accommodations

"The Butternut Condo was a lovely place for our ladies (3) trip to Portland. Fabulous location with plenty of coffee shops, restaurants, & grocery stores all within walking distance. Bus transportation was equally good and easy to navigate. The Condo was very clean, well stocked, and nicely decorated. All that said, I would be remiss not to mention a few things a potential renter might need to know. The king size bed is quiet comfy, but the pull out couch is absolutely awful!!! The owner did, after I asked, provide a twin size thin egg crate foam pad. It helped a little, but not much. Do not expect more than one person to sleep on the pull out bed and definitely don't expect to get a good night's sleep. So truthfully, the condo comfortably only sleeps 2 people. You are paying for air conditioning, but don't expect too much! If the air outside is 75% or less, it automatically shuts off!! And finally, there's the check in time. The 4 - 6 p.m. time frame allotted stinks!!!! We were charged an additional $100.00 more because we did not arrive during the check in time. I firmly believe the fee was over priced and not necessary at all. The condo has a number code lock that is programmed with your cell number to allow entry. There is a notebook full of detailed information to acclimate one to the details of the condo. The owner's daughter lives on the other side of the condo and could have easily let us in or visited with us the next day. So, be forewarned, if your flight arrives after 6p.m. be prepared to pay a hefty late fee! Other than that, Portland is a fabulous city to explore & you should definitely enjoy your stay."

  • spacious apartment in a quiet neighborhood

"This is a very spacious apartment with a well stocked kitchen that made it easy for us to do our own cooking. The unit is in an older building but well kept and clean though out. Close enough to downtown Portland but in a quiet and safe area. It was easy to find parking close to the apartment. Safeway and other shopping was within walking distance to the apartment. Would stay again if we were back in Portland."

  • Great location!

"This little apartment was in a fantastic location for a visit to Portland with great access to public transport and lots of great things to see, do, and eat within walking distance. It is small and you can certainly hear your neighbours, but has all the basic amenities and an air-conditioning unit in the bedroom. Our only real complaint would be that the bed wasn't super comfy, in part due to the EXTREMELY squeaky bed frame. Otherwise it was great!"
