"I visit my son in Portland twice yearly and I was eager to break out of my comfortable but bland hotel routine. I wanted to stay near the Alberta Arts District since it is near his home and is an area I find myself gravitating to for frequent dining and shopping. The Kuza Cabin offered the experience I was hoping for. It was modern and cozy at the same time; compact in its design but roomy in its feel. It is right behind the patio of Yakuza Lounge and the family's home which included evening restaurant sounds, limited morning restaurant prep activity and a vague awareness of the owner's family comings and goings. None of this was a problem for me and it felt like a fair trade off for the neighborhood experience as opposed to the physical isolation of a hotel room that is invaded by random street noise. As an occasional single traveller I felt comforted and secure in this setting and I am equally confident my husband will appreciate the space and experience when he joins me on my next trip."

  • Cute home close to transportation

"This is a great set up, nicely finished while keeping old feel. Management was friendly and helpful Good location with bus and street car close. We are from very small town in quiet neighbourhood, this is located right beside busy (for us) city artery. Traffic noise all night was enough to look else where when we return to amazing and friendly city. Most guests might find it very quiet compared to home. Owner could change 1 window in bedroom to triple glaze to cut a lot of noise."

"This house was perfect for our stay. They hosts were very friendly, and had all the essentials needed available. Everything was nearby that we wanted or needed. We would stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone in a heart beat."

  • Family Happy Times!

"Our large gathering for my niece's wedding made this stay a dream! 16 of us rented both sides; up and down. The houses are immaculate, well-decorated, and more importantly, each couple on the up side had their own bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked, the porch a great place to visit, and walking to and from the Alberta Arts District was a cinch! We all found something we liked about the area and the accommodations. Can't recommend it enough, especially if you have a large family! Bella was great to work with and all in all, get thee to this house!"
