  • Family Happy Times!

"Our large gathering for my niece's wedding made this stay a dream! 16 of us rented both sides; up and down. The houses are immaculate, well-decorated, and more importantly, each couple on the up side had their own bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked, the porch a great place to visit, and walking to and from the Alberta Arts District was a cinch! We all found something we liked about the area and the accommodations. Can't recommend it enough, especially if you have a large family! Bella was great to work with and all in all, get thee to this house!"

  • A comfortable and homey cottage

"First, thank you Tim for providing a wonderful place to get away from the traditional motel/hotel experience. To begin with, Tim presented as hospitable, flexible, and expedient in arranging my 3 night stay. I contacted him with only one day notice, and he sent an email within an hour after contacting him. He was very good at providing information and staying in contact through email, and when I called he picked up to answer my questions. Tim is a great host, and I enjoyed his affable personality. PROs of the cottage: After a long day of driving, it was such a pleasure to enter the cottage that felt comfortable and homey compared to standard hotel rooms. This is a versatile place, which could fulfill the needs of a romantic get-away, or a small family needing a break from the city. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioner was sufficient to keep the bedroom cool. The sunken jet Jacuzzi was roomy and comfortable for two! The kitchen had sufficient dishware and pots to cook a meal. There is a large area around the place that is well kept, which is ideal for kids to play and provides a country feel. CONs of the cottage: If a person is looking for a polished and perfect cottage, then this place might not be a fit. There is some wear with over use, such as the fridge door making a popping sound when opened, but it closes fine. At night there is some road noise from passing cars, albeit the obnoxious sounding types, which can be heard and could affect light sleepers. I ranked this place five stars because the overall package is a great experience. When I inquired about the barbecue, he made sure I had everything I needed to use it. When I asked Tim if he had bikes to borrow, which he said he did not have, he indicated that he might purchase some in the future. I appreciated his attentiveness. Although I did not meet his wife, I imagine that they are great team in making every effort to make a stay at their cottage a memorable one."

  • I'll be recommending to my friends

"Just as advertised. The furniture was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, updated and functional. The bed was fine. The location was great for the area. Great coffee shops and restaurants of all variety within easy walking distance. Parks and trails also within easy walking. I did have a car to access some sights outside of Portland and while not plentiful the street parking was never a problem. Wifi was fine. While I figured it out, some instructions for the TV would have been appreciated."

  • Just perfect!

"The cottage is so comfortable that after three days our three-year-old grandson referred to it as "our house." The location was perfect. Close to a playground, a great grocery store, coffee shops and restaurants. Access to downtown was fast and easy. Wonderfully appointed modern kitchen. The owners had thought of everything needed for a very, very comfortable, pleasant stay. We would certainly recommend the cottage without reservation."
