"Met with Karen as soon as I arrived. She was so pleasant and showed me around the room. Location for me was fantastic. The area is so quiet. I loved listening to the birds and squirrels. Felt like I was in the country. Will be back again."

Spacious, beautiful home in the heart of the action!
"Let me start by saying that the photos on this website definitely do not do this home justice. We had a little family reunion here, with my husband and me and my parents in the two bedrooms and my brother on the sleeper couch. The house was huge, even with 5 people. It was well-furnshed and well-equipped in every room and also nicely decorated. It was nice having two full bathrooms attached to each bedroom. The bedrooms were very spacious and had ample closet/drawer space and great ceiling fans above the beds. The skylights in the top floor were also nice for filling the house with natural light. We appreciated the half-bath on the main floor and that the kitchen was really very well stocked with utensils, but also with a few odds and ends/spices that others had left there at some point. The Internet connection was excellent and the satellite TV was nice. We loved having the giant gas grill on the deck and enjoyed the comfy seating arrangement there as well. We had two cars during our stay, and the garage and parking in the driveway were spacious enough for them. However, you won't really need a car in this area. Downtown is about a 15-minute walk and the house is around the corner from tons of great restaurants and bars. We loved Ken's Artisan Bakery as well as Red Onion for Thai food. Though I never used the tram or public transportation in Portland, my parents and brother did and had no problems at all - even met the greatest people on the tram! (By the way, people in Portland seem to be EXTREMELY nice. Coming from the South, I thought I knew what hospitality was, but people in Portland seem to go out of their way to greet and help you.) Come to Portland hungry and thirsty - everything seems to revolve around food and beer in this city, and there are a million great places to try in a lot of the different districts in town - but this home is an excellent base for exploring the Pearl and the rest of the city."

"We were three couples - each with a child under 2. This house was a perfect home base - and even had some toys and other amenities (like a high chair) that really helped us out. The master bedroom was a nice little oasis from the chaos (without being too far from the action) - so if you're traveling with a group, get there first and claim the master suite! And finally - its tucked in a residential neighborhood near a few parks and still only about 12 minutes from downtown. Best of both worlds!"

"Loved this rental! The location was close to lots of activities. There are tons of restaurants and shops within walking distance. There's even a donut shop at the end of the block! The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was fantastic!! I especially loved the large bathtub, as it's not something I have at home. the house was also very clean upon arrival. I would highly recommend this rental and would like to stay here again if we ever come back to Portland."
