"We'd never been to Portland before so wanted to be in the heart of things and picked the Pearl a District. Could not have been happier with our choice. So many fantastic restaurants, brew pubs, home design stores, outdoor stores, gourmet coffee shops and a very convenient Whole Foods just a block away. Ashish's home is spotless and well stocked. Quiet and easy parking though we didn't need a car. I'd stay again!"

"Had the best time at Kim's bungalows. She was helpful and attentive and the space was clean and comfortable! Nestled in a wonderful location, walkable to so many great eats and bars, while still on the quieter side of the neighborhood. Would highly recommend staying here!"

"This was a great apartment to use as a base for exploring Portland! Plenty of restaurants very close by on 21st and 23rd Streets. There's a Trader Joe's Market about 4 blocks away, and a smaller specialty grocer about 1 block away. Blue Star Donuts, Salt and Straw Ice Cream, Pope House Bourbon Lounge, Serratto Restaurant are all mere blocks away, as is a trolley line one block north. It's an easy walk to the waterfront near the train station and the Pearl District, both 10-15 minutes away. Powell's Books was 15 minutes on the trolley. The Rose and Japanese Gardens about 10 minutes by car. Hills getting to them would have been a challenge for our group to walk.
I joined several friends and we all rented both of Ed's apartments in this 1905 Victorian (my 2-bedroom + the upstairs 3-bedroom). Both were spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and unexpectedly quiet for an in-town neighborhood with plenty of activities. The front porch is welcoming for people watching, and the parking space that comes with my 2-bedroom was especially handy, though street parking didn't appear to be much of a challenge, either.
Communication with Ed was easy and prompt, and when he was away for a portion of our stay, he connected us with someone else to apprise us of the particulars of the house. Everything went quite smoothly, and exceeded my expectations. I hope to be able to stay here when I return to Portland!"
