  • Great Time!

"Our family rented this house and had an AMAZING week! The house is perfect for a family (or couple or group of adults) and couldn't be in a better location. All the comforts of home with a beautiful wrap around porch to enjoy each day. It's an easy walk to Alberta Street which is the hub of the Alberta District with street fairs, great restaurants and coffee shops. The house has everything you would need and the owners are very accommodating and always willing to help! My husband and I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay with our kids for our trip. Thanks Patrick and Rhea!"

  • Awesome location, retro comfort

"Fabulous location with plenty to do within walking distance. We also made great use of public transit system, with a bus stop just a few blocks away. The neighborhood is quiet and felt safe to walk in the evenings along with many other people. Nearby park was well enjoyed by families. Bring your bicycle because Portland is uber-bike friendly. The home is wonderfully retro and comfy. Perfect for the 2 of us. Very conscientiously stocked with the regularly used spices, herbs, papergoods, cleaning and laundry supplies, plus the owners provided coffee, cream, and a great bottle of wine as a welcome gift. Christie and her team were so attentive and helpful, yet not obtrusive. We came to Portland to escape summer heat and mother nature treated us with the warmest summer in recorded history. Haha! Many places including this home don't have a/c. With the 3 provided box fans we managed along. Water pressure in this holder home isn't fierce so showers took a bit longer to rinse off. Portland is an amazing city and living in this home opened it up perfectly. If you want to experience the city, live in it, don't commute in. On the other hand, we did venture out to the Columbia River Gorge, Willamette valley, and to the coast. Living at this centralized location made it easy. All in all, a great location and comfy home. Owners are wonderful to work with!"

  • Very nice property near Alberta ST

"I stayed at That Blue Cottage for almost a month, and found it to be a great space for my summer getaway. It was well furnished, convenient to public transit for going downtown, or exploring other neighborhoods. Kitchen was well equipped and I fixed many meals there. Owners Mark and Ali are next door, very responsive to answering questions and providing assistance. I'd stay there again!"

  • Hidden in Plain View

"I visit my son in Portland twice yearly and I was eager to break out of my comfortable but bland hotel routine. I wanted to stay near the Alberta Arts District since it is near his home and is an area I find myself gravitating to for frequent dining and shopping. The Kuza Cabin offered the experience I was hoping for. It was modern and cozy at the same time; compact in its design but roomy in its feel. It is right behind the patio of Yakuza Lounge and the family's home which included evening restaurant sounds, limited morning restaurant prep activity and a vague awareness of the owner's family comings and goings. None of this was a problem for me and it felt like a fair trade off for the neighborhood experience as opposed to the physical isolation of a hotel room that is invaded by random street noise. As an occasional single traveller I felt comforted and secure in this setting and I am equally confident my husband will appreciate the space and experience when he joins me on my next trip."
