  • Inn Beervana - perfection!

"We stayed at Inn Beervana for a long weekend in May. It was the perfect location in Hawthorne. Very close to everything - great restaurants (including the Waffle Window which is a must do), shops and a wonderful neighborhood to walk around in. It is so close to all of the other neighborhoods and to downtown Portland. The hosts were wonderful and have thought of everything to make this a home base for a visit to Portland. The apartment with its own entry was clean, updated, well appointed, and had all the comforts of home. We brought out dog with us which the hosts were very welcoming including Dunkel, their dog. He is another great bonus to this property! We enjoyed everything about our stay and we look forward to when we can come back."

  • Great apartment, great location!

"This was the perfect place to land - right in the middle of so many great restaurants and close to downtown. On top of that it was clean, quiet and comfortable. Very well set up, I wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you, Thomas."

  • Lovely house in a great location

"We really enjoyed staying at this house. My husband, our three-year-old, my mother, my sister and brother-in-law all stayed here over Christmas. It was a spacious but cozy home base for us. The location is excellent, so close to great restaurants, entertainment and shopping. It's just far enough from the main drag that parking isn't a hassle. All the logistics (checking in, heat, laundry, check-out) were really easy. I would definitely recommend this place to families or others looking for a place to stay in Portland!"

  • For a Fantastic Stay in Portland

"First time Portland visitors, with dogs, and this house was fantastic. The location is walking distance to a park and to restaurants (go to Pok Pok!!) if you are willing to go a few miles. It is also only a 10 minute drive to everything we went to do from the urban areas, to quaint eating spots, to hiking Mt. Taber. The house itself is a good size and could accommodate a large party even though we were only 2 humans and 3 dogs. The yard is fully fenced with no holes for escapes and very private which is nice. We never heard noise from the shared wall with another unit even though we know someone was staying there. The house was incredibly clean. The furnishings, decor, and paint were all so interesting. The beds very comfortable (slept in both bedrooms just to try them out). I really want to know the paint color in the downstairs bathroom so I can steal it for my own house! Kitchen has all the supplies you could need (even the dishware is pretty), however not many fridge or pantry items (some VRBO places I have stayed have a ton of stuff people have left) so come prepared with food or be ready to shop if staying in. Loved that the downstairs bathroom had a clawfoot for soaking and the upstairs shower was a walk in with two heads. The place has upgrades like Nest for the thermostat and Roku on the tv (even though it was missing for our stay). Communication with the owner was quick and the rental paperwork was easy. A few reasons I have to take away a star (mostly personal preference, not actual issues): while the stairs are beautiful and different they were quite difficult for one of my small dogs (no backs to the stair steps and no banister) to go up (had to carry him up) and the other small dog kept looking like he wanted to jump off the side, the only upstairs bedroom window had no screen and the window itself is flush with the floor so having it open would have created a safety hazard for the dogs if open (dealt with this by putting something in front of it), and a faint pet smell (maybe cat?) in the front room likely form the rug (I'm ridiculously scent sensitive, but my bf said he never noticed it)."
