"Portland is relatively easy to get around, but you don't always want to stay in the middle of the busiest part of the city. For being tucked in a purely residential neighborhood with big trees and street parking, this house could not get any closer to the common amenities needed (grocery store, restaurants, banks) in the Lloyd District. I carried my groceries to the house for a whole 4 minutes. It was an extremely enjoyable 12 minute walk to the conference center every morning. Or, I'd walk 500 yards and hop on the street car that connects with any other MAX rail and go all over the city. I went from Voodoo doughnuts downtown to the house in about 18 minutes on the rail line.
The home has adequate furnishings and done up well, and all you need with the right consumables provided."

"The house was clean and well-kept. The caretaker was incredibly gracious when we arrived late and accidentally knocked instead of using the key box. We may have woke her up (?), but she let us in and ensured we got into our place okay. This apartment is located above the caretaker's residence (at least in part) and we felt awful for any noise to her apartment right under our little kiddos' happy feet, but she never commented and we hope she slept well.
I don't remember if it specifies prior to purchase, but check in is 4:00p (which we couldn't make due to the event we traveled to Portland to attend) and check-out is at 11:00. Check-out involves stripping the beds and doing any dishes. These were no trouble, but I wish I had paid attention to those details ahead of time; our family gathered from multiple places and the later check-in and chores-involved check-out made our stay feel a little rushed.
The house is in a historic and well-maintained neighborhood (for those not familiar with Portland) and provided for a peaceful night and morning walk. It was only 0.3 mile to McMenamins and Peet's Coffee, and just one or two more blocks to Lloyd Center. This house will be on our list of Great Places to Stay in Portland.

"This apartment was perfect for us. It slept our family very comfortably (it is not often you will hear me refer to a futon as comfortable, but it was!), the kitchen was perfect and it was clean and convenient to public transportation. Rupert and Scott were great. They were full of suggestions but also gave us our space. Wonderful! It was hot in Portland when we visited, but with the windows open this apartment stayed very cool!"

Comfortable, well decorated & clean suite in an excellent location!
"I just returned from a week in Portland and was delighted with this suite - the location made getting around on foot easy, and there were plenty of good places to eat & get coffee nearby.
The suite is bigger than I expected, and really nicely laid out - everything was exceptionally clean & obviously carefully looked after."
