  • Portland visitors

"We recently stayed in the Garden Apartment at Irvington House The neighborhood is terrific, lots of stores, restaurants, and public transportation near by. The apartment was clean, spacious, and had a great kitchen with lots of dishes, and pots and pans We came to visit our daughter, who lives around the corner, so walking back and forth was easy and convenient. We enjoyed our stay, the house was quiet with a peaceful setting. Maybe our next visit will be during warmer weather and we can enjoy the backyard and grill. thank you for a very comfortable stay"

  • Great Thanksgiving stay

"Our three person family stayed in this delightful upstairs accommodation for four nights during Thanksgiving week. The apartment is very comfortably furnished, and has a lovely floorplan. As promised, the kitchen is well-equipped and includes plenty of choices for making coffee. We had a few questions for Allie the caretaker, who was very prompt in responding. (She helped us with backyard BBQ details, etc.) The apartment is very close to numerous great neighborhoods, shopping, and restaurants. On Thanksgiving day we easily drove out to Multnomah Falls in 20 minutes-spectacular. Nearby restaurants we thoroughly enjoyed included Andina in the Pearl, Pok Pok Thai and Tasty n' Sons. The Irvington neighborhood is gorgeous, and we enjoyed touring nearby blocks before Christmastime to see the lights/decorations. Mark (the owner) was very responsive to all of my questions while booking, and we definitely hope to return sooner than later."

  • Great home base for a week of Portland exploration

"We stayed for a week at Tijana and Milo's apartment and had a great time. The space was as described and pictured with easy street parking and even a backyard we were able to eat in a few times. The location is great for exploring on foot as well as by car. By car, it seemed to take only 15 minutes to get to any of the neighborhoods we wanted to explore. We like to walk, so 40 minutes on foot was a nice adventure to the Pearl and Downtown. We didn't spend too much time on Broadway near the house but we went to nearby Tiny's (recommended by our hosts) a few times for coffee and breakfast and also loved Whey Bar (next to Ox) and Toro Bravo which are walkable from the house. For breakfast and nights we didn't go out we cooked in the fully functional kitchen and had lovely nights just hanging out in the well appointed apartment. Overall we'd recommend this space to anyone looking for a nice, low-key place to unwind and launch Portland explorations from--we'd definitely return ourselves."

  • Great stay

"We stayed in this lovely apartment for seven weeks and really enjoyed it. Carolyn was extremely accommodating with the move-in times and she responded immediately to a couple of minor issues that arose along the way. The couch and bed were the most comfortable we've had during our very extensive recent travels, and the kitchen was well-equipped and easy to work in. We had a cold snap during our stay and the wall heaters in each room warmed us up in no time. The location is very central so we could walk and bike to a lot of cafes, music venues, etc. We did have cars as well and had no problems with parking in front of or next to the building. The neighborhood was beautiful, quiet and felt very safe. With its proximity to Broadway and MLK, getting to other parts of town was quick and easy. Highly recommended!"
