"We had a wonderful time! The apartment was pristine from the floor to the ceiling! Beautifully decorated with a wonderful patio area full of lush landscape. The kitchen fully updated with a viking stove! We didn't want to leave! It was just a drive across the bridge to Portland, and shops, restaurants, and markets within walking distance. I would recommend this apartment to anyone! The customer service was fantastic!!"

"Thanks for your hospitality! Our week long stay was relaxed and provided us the perfect backdrop for reconnecting with our Portland family. The weather was perfect the week we were there and we enjoyed sitting in the front yard visiting with our son and grandsons. It reminded me of my early days at my grandma's......we were completely charmed by the country setting and the cozy cabin. Everything was clean and we'll stocked. So much better than a hotel in the city."

"We started our Sibling Trip (7 adults) at this Hawthorne House and it started us off on the right foot. We enjoyed the big front porch for morning coffee, the backyard patio for afternoon tea/drinks. The beds were comfortable and the house was a great choice over being in a hotel room. It had a lot of character. Hawthorne Road was a two-short-block walk from the house and there were so many restaurants to choose from. The neighbourhood was flat and was easy walking. We would search out this place a second time if we went to Portland again."

"I found this property for our high school girls' basketball team and we stayed in the Bungalow. They had a great time here! The kitchen was nicely outfitted and the house was nice, clean, and comfortable. The owner was easy-going and very accommodating to our unique needs as a team of teenagers and one adult chaperone. The caretaker was awesome! He was personable and friendly, rounded up an airbed for us at a late hour, and even took it upon himself to contact the owner for us and secure permission for our team to use the hot tub of the main house, even though we were in the bungalow so it wasn't part of our deal. Much appreciated by a team of basketball players with five games in a weekend! As other reviewers mentioned, I would be cautious with young children or non-swimmers because it is, by definition, floating on a river, but our teens loved that they could just jump right off the deck into the river."
