  • Great place for dogs

"We stayed here for six nights, a nice and cozy home. Very dog friendly, yard is fenced and patio is enclosed for dog safety. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils, towels are plentiful. It is so peaceful and quiet here, only five minutes from the town of Bandon. The town is quaint and very nice. A nice vacation house!!"

  • Loved this house, will be back

"This was absolutely perfect! The pictures don't do it justice. The view from the front is breathtaking, we saw lots of whales on our first day (didn't even need binoculars). We loved the wood stove, used it every night! The kids took at least 1 bath a day in the soaking tub (watching the sunset, AMAZING). Tons of space to get away and read a book. It was the best house we've stayed in Bandon and we've been going for years! We will definitely be back!"

  • Sue and two children and five grandchildren

"We had a wonderful time and the home is even nicer than the pictures. Don't know if things were updated since photos or photos are not of the unit we were in, but everything was like new and very comfortable for the nine of us. Everyone enjoyed horseback riding and walked to the beach several times. Younger ones went crabbing early in the mornings. We had everything we needed and enjoyed the big, red dog. Was surprised to have horseshoes and tetherball there for the kids. They enjoyed that while we were cooking. Thank you for having us."

  • Congratulations! You've found a dog lover's heavenly vacation house.

"All of our activities were geared toward having the dogs with us while enjoying the beauty of the Southern Oregon coast. If your goal is similar, this is what you need to know about this perfect property. *Tile or wood flooring throughout (with the exception of the 2-bed suite) *Convenient outdoor hoses so you can wash your dog thoroughly after playing on the beach. (I brought my own dog towels but they had a few in the garage too) *Home sits on a large lot AND is adjacent to the Devils Kitchen State Park parking area with additional large grassy areas. LOTS of room to play fetch and sniff right out the front door. *There are two paths to the beach and both are short and easy. Most other properties have much longer walks and many include lots of steep stairs. *From 'your' beach it is 1.67 mi north to the beginning of the most photographed section of the Oregon coast. I ran there every morning from right out the front door with the dogs and I practically had it all to myself. *The beach allows dogs off-leash as long as you can control your dog verbally. This means no chasing birds or approaching others. From May to Sept you can only go south on this beach .7 miles (to the China Beach parking area) with a dog. Beyond there are 12 miles of western snowy plover protected nesting habitat that you can't enter with a dog. But there's lots of room to go north....and it's beautiful. *If you want to visit the Redwoods (2.5 hrs away) know that your dog is only allowed in the campground areas. They are NOT allowed on any trails in either the State or National Redwood Parks. (Bummer I know but next time I'd take a tent a spend one night.) *29 miles to the south you can hike with your dog at Humbug Mountain State Park. It's enchanting and quiet. You can hike the coastal or inland sides of the mountain and it's only about 2.5 mi one way. *The garage of this home is spotless and dog-safe and can be used to leave your pet (for a very short time) if need be. *From a dryer climate? Check your dogs ears often for yeast infections. (Monistat (over the counter women's product) works great at clearing it up) It will be tough to top this property as a perfect 'pup paradise' for a week. I'm ready to go back!"
