"We feel a little like the Vikings when they picked the names "Iceland" and "Greenland". This place is so exceptional that we can't see how it can be in our interest to tell anyone about it. It will just make it harder to find an open date for the next visit. We can't add much to what's already been said, the pictures are incapable of capturing how the rocks and the ocean are present in the house, conveying a feeling of total serenity. My wife told me we should ask for a late checkout, I asked what she had in mind, she said "December". That pretty much sums it up, we did not want to leave this idyllic place."

River's View Retreat - A wonderful home & fantastic view
"We booked the upstairs unit of this property for just the two of us. We initially planned to stay for 3 nights but liked it so much we extended an additional 2 nights. It was hard to go home! The upstairs included a kitchen that was very well equipped; even better than what we have at home. You could easily cook for a large group. The living room/sunroom was so light and bright, it was like being outside with all the comforts. The furniture was very comfortable including the bed. What makes this place so special is the tranquil setting and staying in a place that the owners built and furnished like a personal home retaining many of the historical aspects. It does not even feel like a vacation rental and we have stayed in many. Another plus is you are only 5 miles from Bandon overlooking the Coquille River. So when it was foggy and windy at the beach (which happens frequently), it was sunny at the house. We did get a chance to see one of the downstairs units which was also very nice. This also would be a great place for 3 couples (or more if you don't mind sharing) to come to with its separate entrances to allow for privacy. The outside overlooking the river was simple and nice. Bring your comfy outdoor chairs or use the ones provided. We hope to return to the home again in the future; perhaps with friends. As an added plus, the property manager, Lisa, was very pleasant to work with and all transactions went very smooth. We'll be back."

"Stayed here for three nights and had a great time. Plenty of room for our eight people. Kitchen had everything we needed. Other amenities included hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and laundry soap. We would stay here again!"

"My family and our friends- four adults, three teens, four kids and a baby in all- spent three nights at the cabin. We wish it could have been a week!! We loved swimming, fishing and boating in the lake. We boated across the lake, walked through the bushes and over the dunes to get to the beach but you couldn't go on the beach because it was plover nesting season there. Darn! The drive to Bandon beaches was only a few minutes...we found the ones near face rock to be less windy and more fun. The boys picked huckleberries and made jam on the fire in a tin can! The views of sunset were amazing. We can't wait to go back next year!"
