"I booked this house for a weekend getaway for 12 members of service organization in Grants Pass. The house is perfect for large groups with 4 bedrooms that sleep 8, 2 couches and room for blowup mattresses in the downstairs game room. The dining table seats 10 and we put a small table on the end to expand for 12. The kitchen is a dream and huge, allowing us to prepare meals with ease. Seating for 5 in the great room, but with 4 stools at the bar in the adjacent kitchen and a couple dining chairs - we made it work. The house/linens/kitchen/bath are very upscale and immaculate. Parking for 4 cars ( the garage was locked and not available) was pretty tight - a chore to turn around as backing down the long drive was not an option. The view from the house and covered decks was gorgeous and sunset were stunning. A short drive to the beach, shopping and restaurants - then back up the hill to paradise."

Sounds of the Sea Definitely a Home Away From Home
"Recently spent a week at Sounds of the Sea and it immediately felt like home to us. Super comfortable and furnished beautifully and very well equipped. Enjoyed the backyard patio everyday with one of two books I brought along. Walk to Brookings harbor and beach only a 10 minute jaunt. This is by far the best VRBO we have stayed in when we've gone to Brookings and is definitely on our "must stay here again" list. Tried new restaurant this time, Black Trumpet Bistro, which was excellent and were just celebrating their 2nd anniversary. Zola's pizza in the harbor still the best pizza on the coast in our opinion. Thanks to Roberta and Bill for sharing this very relaxing home with us!"

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was perfect for us. Loved the floor plan. The bedrooms were all 3 spacious and set off from one another for privacy. Sound did not carry from one area to another - plenty of space to have separate activity going on at the same time. Ample and comfy seating in the living room as well as in the dining area. Beds were comfortable. Huge amount of storage. Kitchen & some other areas of the house could use some updating but everything worked except the ice maker. And of course the view was all that it promised (except we could not see far enough west to see any sunsets in June) So nice to have a garage to park in and everything on one level. Laundry was nice too. Carpet was not a good choice for a "beach house" but it was clean. Steps to the beach were more than we had expected but they were sturdy wood with rails and no problem for the younger folks. Loved watching the seals on the rocks and even saw a family of otters. Good home for families, but young children cannot be outside unsupervised as it is right on the edge of a small cliff and unfenced. (small fenced area for a dog on one side of the house) We felt right at home and enjoyed our vacation. The heating/cooling system was excellent - kept everything consistent and we never heard it. This house was obviously first class quality when built even though it is an older home. Location was perfect for us. A short distance into Brookings for some good seafood at local establishments. And 30 miles north and south took us to everything we wanted to see - The Redwoods and plenty of beach access to explore this part of the coast, plus a jet boat ride on the Rogue River. We couldn't cover everything in a week. Excellent spot! Handling agency was very helpful and friendly and easily contacted."

"The view from the condo is fantastic. However, the place needs new carpeting and appliances. The outdoor grill was rusted and very dirty, so we were not able to use it when we stayed at the condo. The condo layout is very nice - open concept, and they have a nice sitting area by a window which looks right down the coast at some beautiful rock outcrops. It was clean, just showing some wear and tear. This unit is in the first building which is right beside the highway, so you do get some traffic noise."
