A beautiful place to let go of stress and take in the beauty!
"From the time I sent the email to find out if the time was available for my visit.. to the phone call with Jeannie as I walked out the door to come home. It was the most enjoyable and stress free I have been in months! I opened the door to be greeted with the most welcoming site of the ocean from the BIG windows. I Immediately opened the sliding glass door off the dinning room, what a wonderful sound of the waves hitting the rocks below. The view from there is unbeatable. I loved the way it was decorated and I felt so safe and secure. I was there alone and never felt uneasy at anytime. When I posted pictures and video's of my stay on Facebook, everyone wonted to know how to book a time to come see first hand the amazing time for themselves. If you love the ocean, beautiful surrounding, comfy furniture, luscious comfortable beds, and an electric BBQ that cooked my tri tip steak to perfection, beautiful sunsets and sunrises.; you need to get in touch with Jeannie. She was one of the nicest people, very helpful and so grateful she allowed me to share her beautiful condo for my time in Brookings, OR Would I stay there again? Well, yes I would! Thank You Jeannie, such a high quality property. Can't forget to mention, standing in the kitchen seeing the beautiful ocean as I did dishes, I could do dishes there for hours...LOL"

"Length of stay Oct 4--10, 2015
As good as advertised. The condo was comfortable, the seascape gorgeous. The weather excellent the first two days, 91 F. Rest of the week was partly to par cloudy. The last two days were foggy but had big rollers which I enjoyed. Brookings had several good eateries. People were friendly and helpful I would recommend this place."

"Our first reaction when we walked through the door was, "Look at that view!" it was absolutely breathtaking. The main living area was spacious and perfect for our group and we enjoyed our stay.
However, there are a few things I feel should be noted for future travelers to be aware of when they are making their choice about where to stay and what to bring.
Kitchen : Although there are plenty of plates, cups, pots & pans there wasn't a full set of silverware. We found this very frustrating and ended up buying some to use the week we stayed. Only 1 1/2c. measuring cup...Also the kitchen knives were very dull and unsafe. Our second to last day we found a brand new set in the closet by the half bath....why weren't they put out in the first place?
Cleaning Supplies: There wasn't a dustpan! So weird. We ended up making one out of a paper plate. I would think that a homeowner would encourage renters to clean up after themselves by providing the proper tools. Also, There wasn't a vacuum. When I called the property management about both of these issues they did bring over a vacuum the next day but the vacuum was broken so really no help.
No trash bags provided, we bought our own. We've rented many beach houses over the past 15 years. This was a first for us.
Linens : If you're staying with a group over 5 bring your own washcloth. Not enough provided.
Safety: The bed frame in the master bedroom was made to have a footboard attached to it. There is no footboard and so the metal frame sticks out and up quite a few inches from the mattress it is very sharp and was hidden behind the bedspread. My 81 year old mother gashed her leg on it. The property management again didn't seem to think it was a big deal. It really is a safety issue so beware!
Mold on the blinds and in the bathroom...
Grill was very dirty and a fire hazard...we cleaned it as best we could.
Listing photos and real life inconsistencies : No table on the deck but there are some nice chairs. No TV in Master Bedroom. Bunk beds in 3rd bedroom have been separated to make two separate beds which makes the room very crowded.
General Comfort : There are no dressers in any of the bedrooms and only a couple of hangers in each closet. Again, we had to provide our own which was a first for us.
Overall this is a nice home that could be great with a few more homey touches and a few things that we've come to expect as a given when renting vacation homes."

"We have stayed in Brookings several times over the years and this was the best yet! A great view (saw whales from the deck our last evening...how exciting!) while sitting in comfortable loungers. The hot tub was clean and perfect for star gazing, the living room seating was comfortable for the cool mornings (by the fireplace) and the beds offered blessed relief for our tired bones. We would recommend this home to anybody considering an affordable rental in a lovely setting. The owners were hands on and accommodating to all our questions and needs. Don't think twice...book your vacation here!"
