"Great view, great cooking opportunities, quiet, amazing well-groomed path to beach. The owners are very attentive and the condo was very clean. Will go back again especially when the tide is low."

  • Best of the best

"My wife and I stayed a week at this condo. We have stayed at numerous rental properties, this one has been the best. Everything was provided and was in excellent condition. The outside deck has the most beautiful view of the ocean and seals sunning on the rocks. The owner was very informative and sent me a list of restaurants and things to do. The property is very well maintained. Will definitely use again."

  • Wonderful location and wonderful views

"Stayed at this wonderful condo the month of July, 2014. Everything about the condo fit our needs and the view from the window was the best ever. I have rented many places and this had the best views of the ocean I have ever seen. The owners were very responsive to any of our request or questions. The description of the place is accurate and I would highly recommend it to anyone including my family. I plan to be back next year. One of my concerns was the smallness of the town and getting the things you need to stay in the area. They have two large grocery stores, lot of small shops and many places to eat. The eating place we liked the most was Super Fly which had a limited menu but great food at a reasonable price. The town is small but interesting and a nice harbor with public fishing. There are many different beaches to explore between Brookings and Gold Beach. The rock formations make each beach different and beautiful. The condo had everything you will need to cook any kind of meal you may want and the beds were very comfortable and for someone like me with a bad back that is very important! There is plenty of closet space in the master bedroom and many other areas to store anything you might need to make you stay more comfortable. The parking was great with a private garage which also had space to store such items like bicycles, kayaks and bulk items you may have brought. The condo complex is very safe and secure. The cliff path to the private beach is pretty steep in places, but is manageable by most individuals and provides for a great place to do your daily walk. There are also many trails to walk in the area including river walks which we really enjoyed. While we were there we saw three different whales from the window and enjoyed the viewing of them. One stayed around for 4 days, what a treat! Everything in the unit worked and fit our needs. The whole experience for the month was enjoyable including picking wild blackberries for a cobbler. The weather created our desire to vacation on the Oregon coast. It never rained while we were there and the temperature never quite made 70 degrees but never lower than 56. In Gold Beach it could be 83 and only 63 in Brookings. Not sure why but it made the walks on the beach and trails around Brooking a pleasure. I would give it an A+."

Brookings Travel Tips

Bring on the Fun with Brookings Rentals

The Southern Oregon Coast is a great place to take the family for your next vacation. Or, if you want a romantic getaway, it will not get much better than this! Tucked away in southern Oregon’s “Banana Belt” you will enjoy warm, sunny weather while staying in Brookings rentals; it's must like a stay on the Mediterranean Coast. Staying on the beach in any Oregon Coast vacation rentals will allow you to have fun in the sun while other Brookings lodging allows for more subdued nature hikes.

Oregon Coast Vacation Rentals Offer a Taste of Local History

Though most people think of Native Americans when they think of the Oregon coast, there is much more recent history as well. Some Oregon coast vacation rentals are situated near Bombsite Trail, which is about 10 miles inland. This is the only area in the continental United States that was bombed during World War II. A memorial stands to commemorate the event and is accessible from most Brookings rentals.

Staying in Brookings Lodging? Do Not Miss Azalea Park

Anyone staying in a Brookings lodging must pencil a day at Azalea Park into their vacation calendar! The park is a sight to see with special displays throughout the year. In the winter, folks staying in Brookings rentals can catch a glimpse of the Nature’s Coastal Holiday Light Show and Sculpture Display and the Oregon Kite Festival in the summer. The park is the perfect place for picnics and family get-togethers as well.

Love Nature? You Will Love Brookings Rentals

Although the beaches and the parks surrounding most Oregon Coast vacation rentals are a wonder to experience, there is something to be said if you love nature as well. There are several spots along the southern Oregon Coast that are perfect for whale-watching. Whale-watching tours are quite popular, so it is wise to book early, probably when you book your Brookings lodging. If you prefer rivers to the open sea, schedule a river tour on the Chetco.
