Sounds of the Sea Definitely a Home Away From Home
"Recently spent a week at Sounds of the Sea and it immediately felt like home to us. Super comfortable and furnished beautifully and very well equipped. Enjoyed the backyard patio everyday with one of two books I brought along. Walk to Brookings harbor and beach only a 10 minute jaunt. This is by far the best VRBO we have stayed in when we've gone to Brookings and is definitely on our "must stay here again" list. Tried new restaurant this time, Black Trumpet Bistro, which was excellent and were just celebrating their 2nd anniversary. Zola's pizza in the harbor still the best pizza on the coast in our opinion. Thanks to Roberta and Bill for sharing this very relaxing home with us!"

"My wife and I met my daughter and her Fiance' here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Having lived on the north coast of California many years ago, we were familiar with Brookings, but had always camped. Staying here, with all the amenities of home was very, very comfortable and nice. We plan to do it again, and hopefully get both daughters, husbands and Grandkids there together.
As an aside, I'm a bit of a US Coast Guard fan, and thoroughly enjoyed the pencil sketches of the various rescue boats and cutters. Thank you, Mr. & Mrs. Jones for sharing this great place."

"Stayed at the house with family and had a wonderful time. Falling asleep to the ocean sounds with the sliding door open in the master bedroom was so relaxing. Great harbor and ocean views also from the living room, and back patio. The house has been well taken care of, and had all the comforts of home. Wish we had stayed longer. The only concern was the staircase down to the beach is steep."

"The first thing my 19-year-old son has always done at condos, motels and hotels is turn the TV on and plop down. Not here! This place could accurately be renamed "The room with THE view." My son and daughter just sat and stared out the windows -- and the deck for hours, only leaving to walk down to the beach. This property is everything as advertised. I've probably went on two dozen different vacations on the Oregon Coast and the view here is light years ahead of anything else I've ever seen at any accommodations. It was heaven to leave the blinds always open; wake up to the spectacular view and even eating or preparing food in the kitchen the awesome view is there. The condo is well stocked, clean and updated. Even the unusual bathroom faucets are a delight. We pretty much always had the beach and sunset to ourselves for 5 days, something I didn't expect in summer. Super quiet place too -- no traffic noise and the unit is well sound insulated from neighbors. If you stay here, be sure to plan on plenty of time on site, as the superb view is out of this world. The only downside for me was the parking. You have your own private garage, but I'm not one who likes tight parking and the nearby outside parking was often full, unless you want to walk 100 yards to another parking section. My family would love to stay here again and again."
