  • Hate to go home

"We arrived with our daughter, son-in-law, their two boys and boxer dog Mia. The house was everything we expected and more fully stocked from seasonings to dishes, pots and pans. There were more towels than you would ever need. The appliances including the washer and dryer were current. The house sits on the beach with a view of the ocean. The sunsets were awesome. It took a few seconds to be right on the beach so needless to say we spent many days on the beach with the family. The place is centrally located so going to the Redwoods and other area were easy to accomplish in a day. I can't say enough about the owner Lidia and manager Sharon's ability to keep in contact when needed. Excellent service and would recommend this place to anyone. Had a great time and all enjoyed it. The worse part was to go home."

  • Private, Gorgeous Views, Beautiful House

"4 adults and two grandkids stayed for 5 days at this lovely private home. The kids stayed in the front room..with the views! Slept on the futon mattress and they loved it. The adults had the two bedrooms. Next time, I am bringing a king sized air mattress and sleeping in the room with a view! We are so used to a king sized bed. :) The kitchen was awesome....fabulous. We cooked a lot. We enjoyed a meal at Spinners in Gold Beach. We caught crabs in Bandon and had them cooked on the beach there. YUM. We had a great meal at The Crazy Norwegian in Port Orford. Do not miss Jerry's Jet Boat rides...ask for Tim. He was the funniest captain..had the BEST time ever. It was a warm day and we sat right in front...got wet and it was great! Saw Eagles and Osprey....lovely trip on The Rogue. We did the noon 80 mile trip. Harris Beach at Brookings was the most beautiful beach I've ever been on. Gold Beach was wonderful too. We have reserved the house for early July of 2015. LOVED our time in and around Gold Beach and the house was a lovely retreat. The star gazing while in the hot tub was amazing. We suggest new bed pillows and more games..like maybe Monopoly..for the whole family. (ooops....I think we forgot to clean the grill..but maybe Dave did after he was done). Thank you Lidia. You were wonderful to deal with and talk to."

  • Gary Glenn

"The Blue Heron was the rendezvous point for our kids (and grandkids) from L.A. and us web-foots from Seattle. Perfect accommodation for our family of eight, the home was comfortable and thoroughly equipped and provided handy access to the beach. The beach felt like a private luxury and one of the locals said it was rarely crowded. The Rogue River Jet boat ride and wildlife encounters were a big hit for us all. I thought the management and staff were exceptionally polite and business like to deal with."

  • Beautiful Townhome!

"We stayed this Gold Beach townhome for 2 days and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We were afraid we wouldn't be able to use the spa, but the owner was able to fix it before we arrived. The kids loved it! It was beautifully cleaned and the WiFi was invaluable for our stay. Thank you for having us!"

The community values visitors to this small Southern Oregon town and will treat you like one of their own. The laid-back atmosphere creates a quiet and relaxing retreat from every day life and a hoard of activities will be sure to keep you occupied, that is, if you can get away from the coziness of your Gold Beach vacation rental.

Catch Your Meals at Gold Beach Lodging

A unique experience that Gold Beach has to offer is the opportunity to catch your own Dungeness crab, mussels or razor clams for your evening meal. From midsummer to late fall, crab are prevalent in the Gold Beach area. All you have to do is rent a crab ring from The Rogue Outdoor Store and you'll enjoy the most memorable meal of your life when you're done, whether cooked for you by the locals or in the private kitchen available in many Gold Beach rentals.

Take in the Culture that Lodging at Gold Beach Offers

Every year spring brings about Gold Beach's annual Wine, Art, and Music Festival and the Goldrush Art Festival. Visit in the fall to take in the Brew and Art Fest or the Festival of Quilts. In between you can enjoy local art galleries, museums and handmade crafts.

Outdoor Recreation at Southern Oregon Coast Cottages

Gold Beach is well-known for its Jet Boat Tours along the Rouge River. Considered a "must do" between the months of May and October, visitors have the option of 64, 80, or 104 round trip miles through the Rogue River wilderness, which is only accessible by jet boat. The longer the trip you take, the more wild and beautiful the scenery.
