"This home is very spacious. The living room/dining area as well as two of the bedrooms have large windows with
ocean views. The third bedroom looks out on to a private patio for quiet time. There is a private deck with a sauna, hot tub, dining area, fire pit and BBQ that also provides the same wonderful view of the ocean. The kitchen
was the best equipped I have seen in the 35+ years I have rented vacation homes on the Oregon coast. I should say the entire home was the best equipped for a vacation rental I have seen. Our hostess was warm and helpful. The few issues we had were handled with a phone call within a few hours by her.
Jackie is a wonderful host. The beach is five minutes away by car. Add three minutes and you're in Gold Beach.
An absolute great place for rest and relaxation. All you need is your cloths and some food. Looking forward to
a return visit next year."

"I appreciated all of the good reviews before I booked, so I know there are already lots of them but I'm going to add ours as well! At our max, our family reunion had 32 people and I don't think anyone felt crowded - everyone raved about it. Some family went into Bandon, some of us were happy to soak up every moment of relaxation. We loved petting the horses, looking at stars (even if only one night was clear enough to see them), cooking together, being able to have the late-night folks in a non-sleeping room to talk as loud as they wanted.
Sixes was comfortable for 6 adults. At first we thought it would be a teen room, but with genders and ages, it worked better being for adults. Enough privacy. Very impressed with how Jaime has fixed up all of the space and especially with Sixes and Coquille. Everyone told me how much they liked it, and that they wished they'd scheduled to stay longer.
Planning this trip - with over-scheduled business people and teens, people with difficulty getting vacation from work, and a long drive (5 hours from Portland, 4 from Newport, and more from Oakland) - was a pain in the neck, I am so grateful we found this place.
Jaime is an absolute pleasure to work with and the caretakers were also very nice.
Only things close to a negative - a swimming pool would make this heaven, not being able to have a campfire for Smores (fire danger right now), and I could live without the Elk head in the lodge! But the biggest negative - we had to leave!"

"My wife and I stayed May 18 thru May 27, 2015, but nine days were not enough!!! Ready to hurry back.
If you would like the experience of living in a beautifully designed modern art gallery/home with incredible ocean views, this is the place!! Gary and Jennifer -
thank you for the creative design work. The beds were VERY comfortable, and the interior furnishings and art works are very appealing, with what is definitely the coolest dining room table we have ever seen. Amazing to find such a contemporary and comfortable home on the Oregon coast. My wife's sister from New Jersey joined us for a few days and was enchanted by the WOW factor of China Mountain House - you will be too!!!"

"We decided on this vacation home based on the amenities and the reviews. We were looking for something private but close to town with an ocean view. We got the mountains, river and ocean and all the perks. Drive up a private winding drive to the top of the hill retreat. Lovely beach charm, coffee and tea in the pantry (thanks!!) We opened up all the blinds and just left the open the whole trip - there is such privacy, there was no reason to ever close them. We enjoyed the view the whole time. The hot tub was de-stress deluxe once or twice a day. It was treasure hunt season and we each found a glass float on the beach. We played chess and the little table in the living room is perfect for putting together one of the available puzzles ("Bird in Hand Quilts") Fun!! Walking the beach and finding agates and seastones was relaxing and the sand was warm. The house is well appointed and everything is comfortable. The robes were a lovely bonus for wrapping up in after the spa. Thanks much, we will definitely be back. This was the perfect place to spend our Silver Wedding Anniversary and our youngest son's 16th Birthday!"
