  • Most relaxing vacation ever!

"This was our first VRBO, and it set a high standard of excellence for every VRBO we go to in the future. The cottage faces the lake/ocean and we were fortunate to be visited by deer and a baby doe that had us locked in a staring contest for quite a while. We were fortunate to attend a local bingo night, which I won $13.00, and spent at the local library book store. We had our bikes and traveled from one end of the town to another before stopping for lunch. Do yourself a favor, stop looking for other properties because you have already found it by looking at Garrison Lake Cottage."

"It was so exciting walking into this house. So spacious, so modern, so beautiful. And the VIEWS!!! The deck is glorious and the view is spectacular. The furniture is comfortable and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. I didn't want to shut my eyes in the bedroom because the view is so amazing, and I woke up early just so I could soak it all in. This was such a relaxing place to stay and I highly recommend it. It is very open though, so if you have issues with privacy, it's not the place for you. No curtains on any windows (which I love) and you do have neighbors that can see in on the left side of the house if that bothers you. The bathroom is shared and open to both the second bedroom and hall. The only downside was no master bath. The large screen was fun, the sound quality is not great tho, so bring a movie that is more visual than verbal. Overall, great location, stunning property and very comfortable beds!"

  • Loads of Family Fun!

"We had a great visit at Blue Haven... plenty of room for our whole family and fun things to do for all the ages. With a number of little ones in our family it can be difficult to find a place that has everything we need and is still affordable. Blue Haven had it all. We all enjoyed the bikes, kayaks, and nearby beaches. We were there 5 full days and never once got bored. My only suggestion is that some of the appliances & bed frames could certainly stand to be updated. The twin beds were okay for the 2 & 4 year old but I know I certainly wouldn't have wanted to sleep in them. The girls didn't mind one bit though and it was definitely nice to have a house that was comfortable for the adults but we weren't terrified about the children thrashing anything. The house allowed for a good mix of activity and quiet rest (if that is at all possible with 4 kids 5 & under beneath the same roof). Even amidst the "chaos" adults were able to get in some quiet reading time with great views, enjoy games in the sun room, and venture out for some romantic views in the kayak. We would definitely return if we ever find ourself planning a trip to Port Orford again."
