"Excellent piece of property that pleasantly charmed us the whole time we stayed. Natural beauty abounds in this location surrounded by Port Orford pine trees. Small drive from great beaches to watch sunsets and a local lake for rainbow trout fishing. Local climate on this part of the coast is among the nicest in the state. Highly recommend and will be coming back in the fall/winter months to enjoy the mild temperatures compared with the rest of the state."

"Stayed here for 4 nights and what a charming visit! Joan decorated the place wonderfully with so much character and thoughtfulness. (Was so relaxing browsing through many of Joan's books and magazines) My husband and I cooked a lot and the kitchen was super well equipped. The view from the living room was spectacular-a bit of ocean and tall spruces framed the window. LOVED Port Orford as well-good if you want to truly escape."

  • Wonderfully relaxing and comfortable cottage with gorgeous views

"My Mother, brother, and I truly enjoyed our stay at Garrison Lake Cottage. It is at the end of the road and seems perfectly private when looking out of the large windows facing the lake and ocean. We loved Jane's artwork in the home. We got a "loaded" pizza, a huge 1/2 chef's salad, and big French dip sandwich at Siren's Cove Café. The service was great and the food excellent... There are many places to take photos close to the cottage. We were lucky to see a bright rainbow over the "Heads" beach area...Thanks Jane. Loved your cottage. We would recommend this property to anyone who wants to stay in a comfortable home with a lot of charm and beautiful art work. This house is close to beaches, great hiking and our favorite place was the Elk River just a few miles away. Thank you Julie and Chris!"
