  • Charming and Adiquately Funky. Loved it.

"We spent a wonderful two nights at The Irish House as part of a road trip. We loved it so much that we came very close to canceling the rest of our trip so we could stay longer. It's far from The Four Seasons and that is a good thing. The Irish House is comfortable, charming and clean. Adequately Funky. Thanks to our great experience at The Irish House, We plan to travel using VRBO exclusively from now on. No more Hotels for us. Yay!!"

  • Kansas tourists

"This property is most definitely peaceful and quiet, lots of green grass for kids/dogs and quick access to river bed and oceanside...we found it very clean and owner, Ken, is most attentive to your needs. Blackberry bushes EVERYwhere! was enjoyable watching all the bunnies and birds enjoying them while we set out on the comfortable deck or from the nice big window above the sink - kitchen is very nice and we used grill quite a bit. Very good set up, had everything we needed. Quick car trip to town, where we found lots of nice restaurants and stores, where EVERYone was SO friendly!! Go fall in love with southern Oregon! We did!! We'll be back..."

  • Simply magical!

"Thank you, Jill, for making this wonderful spot available for others to enjoy! Your studio was the perfect getaway place for a quiet (aside from the sound of the waves filtering into our room each night…which we truly enjoyed), peaceful, private (though not secluded) week away from it all. The best parts…hmmmm…that's a tough one since there are so many: 1. The VIEW…if you're looking for a panoramic view of the ocean from right inside the living space from every corner, the windows all the way across the room and up around the entire space made you feel like your were right on the crest of a cliff overlooking the ocean nestled into the forest. 2. The accommodations…clean, contemporary decor felt like a designer studio (not a miss-mosh of furnishing put together for a rental home like many others). 3. The host…Jill was truly welcoming and excited to have visitors share her very special spot in the world! We received special "gifts" of fresh fruit on our doorstep…and anything we asked for in record time (butter, can opener, hot plate, etc). 4. The deck…the grounds and landscaping were extraordinary! Jill designed the outside living space perfectly with more than ample room to grill, sit, read and enjoy the panoramic views up above the crashing waves. She certainly has an eye for design and color…beautiful annuals combined with colorful hydrangea hedges along with mature hedges trimmed to give just the right amount of privacy without compromising the view. 5. The beach…we were able to stroll down the private stairs to enjoy a walk on the private stretch of beach every single day. There was so much to explore and marvel at…without crowds…at most, we saw 4 other people on one day. Oh, and although we didn't get to do this, we will have a cozy fire on the beach next time as we saw others enjoying! 6. Location…we were able to venture out to visit Bandon, Florence, the dunes for easy half day trips. Grocery stores and such were just a short drive away. We are probably doing ourselves a dis-service by raving about the Loft by the Lighthouse…we'll need to book early to make sure we have the chance to come back as this place is certainly a "keeper" on our travel books!"

  • Love the Beach

"We travel every summer with Mom and our two small dogs. The house was very comfortable and the view was amazing. We saw whales several days in a row, the neighborhood is quiet. The stairway down to the beach is pretty steep, but the views of the sunrise and sunsets, plus the whales made our time here unforgettable. Brookings is a very pleasant friendly town. I meant to write this review months ago, apologies for taking so long."

Reedsport Travel Tips

Reedsport Vacation Rentals Are in Position to Access Oregon's Coastal Beauty

Right off the scenic Oregon Coast Highway, Reedsport lodging puts you within range of activities to satisfy everyone in your group. Near Winchester Bay and Salmon Harbor, where the Umpqua River meets the ocean, Reedsport offers access to both fresh and salt water related pursuits, as well as proximity to the famous Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area and its ocean vistas.

The National Recreation Area's forty mile stretch houses dozens of miles of hiking trails, sandy off-road vehicle sites for ATV enthusiasts, and thirty lakes with freshwater boating, fishing, swimming, and wildlife viewing. Visit the ODNRA visitor center right near your Reedsport lodging for information on how to rent a dune buggy, trail recommendations, and tips on when to go and how to enter. Advice from the locals is worth following, and booking Reedsport vacation rentals instead of a hotel room is also great advice. Get more space for less money and enjoy your Oregon coast vacation even more.

Cast Your Line from Reedsport Vacation Rentals

Freshwater fishing in the Umpqua River and the dozens of lakes within the ODNRA provide anglers a chance to catch steelhead, rainbow and cutthroat trout, catfish, and more. Winchester Bay, just ten minutes from Reedsport lodging, features inexpensive deep-sea fishing charters where you can reel in large open sea bottom fish, sturgeon, or salmon, or sink your hooks from shore. Crabbers and clam diggers are welcome, too!

Oregon Coast Cottages Are near So Many Great Activities

Winchester Bay is a community where people love the sea, and you can shell search, beach comb, boat, swim, or paint the sunset with locals and tourists alike. The Reedsport Lighthouse flashes red and white along its 65-foot structure, and visitors can tour the lighthouse's interior.
