"Maxfields was the perfect place for our mini reunion. The front and back porches were great for hanging out. We were able to gather in the book room to watch the World Cup, another super space! There were 8 adults, so we could sit around the table in the kitchen. Never even ate out because enough room for all our foods! All the spaces were so great for talking and being together! Easy walk downtown. Great to have the washer and dryer! All beds were comfortable and glad to have had fans as it was a very hot week!! We slept in the trundle bed upstairs, and it was excellent. Small room but plenty of places for our clothing. You will have to crawl across the bed to get to the floor. We got free pickleball lessons at the local park. So fun for all of us!! Would recommend it to all!!"

"This was a wonderful place to stay while in town to see the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and also do some hiking. The rental was about a 10 minute drive from everything we wanted to do (eat, see plays, shop, walk on trails). The rental was clean and comfortable -- and the setting is truly magnificent, with two porches overlooking the beautiful hills! We would be glad to stay here again."

"Rural and magical are wonderful words, but often diametrically opposed. Most people are separated just enough from rural life as to think it is always as magical as a sky filled with the blinking star dream of a life of casual luxury. However, the truth is and will remain as long as there are rural places: creating a space for one's self in a rural setting (let alone one with enough surplus to share with guests!) is often fraught with struggle, heartbreak, difficulty, and a lifetime of hard work- equal parts luck, and a mountain of goodwill...
Luckily, at the Bad Taste BnB, you wont have to deal with an ounce of that struggle. Moana, your gracious and graceful host has seen to it that all you need to do here is relax and enjoy the hard fought and won dream of the colestein valley just outside the hamlet of Ashland. A wonderful woman. A wonderful space. And a truly magical way to enjoy this rural gem.
Don't be afraid to tip well if you feel the experience stretches to the extraordinary!"

"Here we are once again for our 3rd year. My husband & I love this place & our kids & grandsons as well. They stay for a weekend & they as well love the R&R here. Our grandsons love to explore, find hidouts & are outside all day. We came later in the year this year & scored on the morels!! Fun to hunt them & so yummy! It is so peaceful here. Thank you once again Ron & Judy for opening up your home for us to enjoy. We love to hike the Pacific Crest Trail, it is so beautiful & hardly any peoople, unlike CA. We look forward to our 4th year! We are all from this area & love coming home!"
