  • The Perfect Cottage!

"Every year for the past 9 years, my girlfriends and I (there are 5 of us) plan a getaway. Our stay in the Duncan Cottage was wonderful and one of the best vacation rentals we've stayed in! (We have experienced our share of nightmare vacation rentals, trust me!) Located right in the heart of Jacksonville, everything was within walking distance...shopping, restaurants, coffee (the cottage is about a block from Good Bean coffee shop which has fantastic coffee and homemade pastries and bagels to die for). The cottage was perfect for the 5 of us and proved to be quaint and cozy. The beds were comfortable, the fully equipped kitchen gave us the option to stay in and make meals if we didn't feel like dining out, and, I have to admit, I even loved the decor of the cottage! Arlis Duncan, one of the owners, was so easy to work with and professional. I highly recommend staying at Duncan Cottage.....I know we will again in the future!"

  • WOW! I will return

"A friend was visiting and we wanted to get away and enjoy a nice week-end. We only got to stay 4 days. The place is amazing, and the weather gods were good to us (perfect). The house has everything. I bbq'd some nice steaks and corn, had a good wine. So many vineyards and so little time. We put out some peanuts and sunflower seeds with the birdseed we brought with us. There are blue jays, squirrels, deer, geese, along with all the small birds that came to eat. I saw 2 osprey while I was fishing. Lots of wildlife. There is some much to take in that we have to go back. It was cool enough that I did use the fireplace one night. There is something to be said about relaxing and reading a book while birds and squirrels are feeding one the deck. It was a great 4 days and for all you fishermen and fisherwomen, Yes I did catch some fish."

  • Stunning Details!

"On my recent trip, I was unexpectedly surprised with the peace and tranquility the home. The attention to detail and the beauty of the house is unsurpassed in this enclave of places to rest your weary bones. From the authentic antiques to the hand painted ceilings, to the modern art this is the place to stay in Ashland!"

  • Beautiful and Great Location

"We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this lovely cottage on our fourth visit to Ashland. The owner, Russ, was very accommodating and guided us to some wonderful points of interest we had not previously seen. The cottage was beautiful: spotless and well-appointed. Located on a charming tree-lined street, we could easily walk to downtown Ashland. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone who is considering a visit. We would definitely stay here again!"
