"This house is so beautiful! The kitchen has all things you may need. It's just a little walk across the lawn down to the river where there are a few chairs and a sandy area. There is a swimming hole right at the sandy area. There are a couple of garter snakes that live right on the rocks there. They will move out of the way for you. The South Umpqua Falls are about 20 minutes up the road. Be sure to wear rafting sandals or tennis shoes in the water and only walk on the thick mossy areas because it is slippery! The closest grocery store is Ray's in Canyonville, so make sure to stock up on food before heading to the house. This house is seriously amazing. We will definitely be back!"

"My family stayed at what we call "The River House" for five days in July, 2015. This was our third stay. The house is absolutely lovely with three beautifully furnished bedrooms. The kitchen is well-designed for more than one cook and has everything needed for preparing meals. The back deck is huge; a great place for family get-togethers. My grandchildren enjoy the large lawn for baseball games and love the private beach and floating down the Umpqua River. We definitely plan a fourth stay in the future."

"Our daughter graduated from Southern Oregon University this past June so our family wanted to all be together to share a fabulous graduation party after the ceremony. The DeLaunay House was the perfect choice. Deborah is a lovely and thoughtful owner who makes your stay so memorable with all of her special touches throughout her home. We had the grandparents, aunts, siblings and cousins all stay at the home, and everyone enjoyed their own comfortable and private suite. The location is incredible as you can walk to and from all the wonderful downtown shops and restaurants. The most memorable moments were those with the family gathered on the front porch relaxing in the rocking chairs. We highly recommend The DeLaunay House for your next visit to Ashland. Truly an ideal place if you are in town for the Shakespeare Festival, Southern Oregon University's Graduation or a family reunion."

"This one bedroom half of an old house is perfectly located for walking to the theaters. The property is well maintained and had everything we needed. The parking in the alley behind the house is very convenient. We left our car there for the entire time we were in Ashland and walked everywhere.
If we had wanted to do complicated cooking, the kitchenette with no stove would not have been an ideal, but it was fine with so many restaurants nearby."
