"The Terra Cottage Inn exceeded our expectations! The cottage was immaculate with everything you need, from linens and lovely pottery/dishes, to comfortable beds and guides to Ashland. Owners Elizabeth and Mark pay attention to all the details and made us feel right at home with great advice about restaurants and activities. We brought our 9- and 11-year-old sons and they enjoyed picking kale and herbs for our dinner. Every morning my son to looked forward to helping feed the koi in the fish pond. In fact, our kids did not want to leave!
The lush yard, outdoor kitchen and places to relax make this property even better. It is also a short walk to town, the shops and the OSF theaters. Be sure to check out Elizabeth's pottery -- the perfect souvenirs and gifts for those at home. We are already looking forward to our next visit."

"Our family stayed at "The Shack" for 3 nights. As our 9 year old said, "this doesn't look like a shack!" The house is beautiful and very clean. The communication before our stay was excellent and we felt very comfortable and welcome. The kitchen was very well stocked and we enjoyed being able to make our dinner after long days at Lake of the Woods and our children enjoyed hot chocolate in the morning. We visit the area often and this was by far our best vacation rental yet. Thank you for a wonderful stay in your beautiful home!"

"The house was a great choice in a lovely town. Easy walk to the Britt Festival amphitheater and the shops, cafes and trails of Jacksonville, an old gold-mining town which contains a National Historic Landmark. There was a medium-sized grocery store two blocks away. The house was well appointed, well stocked and in good repair. It was a good size for my wife and I and two young-adult sons (they shared the main floor bedroom). My one caveat would be that if you rely on wifi, you should bring a mobile hot spot or air card -- the router for the wifi was in a neighboring house and the signal was not strong enough to get a reliable connection."

"My husband and I have stayed in this perfect cottage and adore it. It was already booked for that weekend so we stayed in Lois' new Alley Cottage. It was as wonderful as the Central Avenue Cottage but on a smaller scale. It felt like home and worked well for three of us. There is one bedroom and an additional futon in the living room. All was lovingly appointed and well supplied. It has a charming private deck that is perfect for post theater discussions and morning coffee. It is great for two and good for more as long as they are comfortable with sleeping in the living room. A precious little jewel. We will return to it whenever we can."
