"My family of four enjoyed our stay in this unique cabin. We loved the cabin's design, all the interior space, the big windows that let in light and provided views of the outside woods. The location gave us plenty of privacy without being far away from all the activities in Ashland. The cabin was well provisioned for all our needs and it was easy to cook, sleep, clean and relax. One highlight of our stay was a powerful thunderstorm that stayed over the area for many hours. We enjoyed the lightning, thunder and pouring rain while staying cozy and safe inside taking advantage of board games. Best of all, Mistee was a pleasure to work with. I hope we'll be able to visit again soon!"

"Despite the nice reviews, I did not expect the cabin to be so large and nice. That goes for the living room, bedrooms, kitchen--everything was top notch. Even the wine glasses were the high-end kind that we like. The kitchen had all the reasonable seasonings, etc. There is a very nice porch to sit outdoors. Elkton is also a quaint town. We had not been there for 20 years, and it now has good wineries and a good country-style restaurant."

"Every year for the past 9 years, my girlfriends and I (there are 5 of us) plan a getaway. Our stay in the Duncan Cottage was wonderful and one of the best vacation rentals we've stayed in! (We have experienced our share of nightmare vacation rentals, trust me!)
Located right in the heart of Jacksonville, everything was within walking distance...shopping, restaurants, coffee (the cottage is about a block from Good Bean coffee shop which has fantastic coffee and homemade pastries and bagels to die for).
The cottage was perfect for the 5 of us and proved to be quaint and cozy. The beds were comfortable, the fully equipped kitchen gave us the option to stay in and make meals if we didn't feel like dining out, and, I have to admit, I even loved the decor of the cottage!
Arlis Duncan, one of the owners, was so easy to work with and professional. I highly recommend staying at Duncan Cottage.....I know we will again in the future!"

"This is a fantastic rental for a family. We enjoyed our stay very much, the house was very well equipped with everything we needed. We also swam at the public pool and enjoyed the back deck and BBQ! The great layout of the house made it feel like we weren't piled up on top of each other and it's clean and in a great location! Nice quiet neighborhood as well. We will be back next year, same house!!
I would note, the steep stairs in the front entrance (incase you had some issues with that) and I would note that the luxurous bathtub in the master (shown in pictures) the landlord asked us not to use it due to the hot water heater not capable of filling it up.. just a note, we were fine without the tub, the master bath is awesome!!"
