"There is a children's poem that comes to mind that I think best describes a residency on the Floating Home...
Wynken, Blynken and Nod one night
Sailed off in a wooden shoe -
Sailed on a river of crystal light,
into a sea of dew.
'"Where are you going and what do you wish?"'
The old moon asked the three.
'"We have come to fish for the herring fish
That live in this beautiful sea;
Nets of silver and gold have we!"'
said Wynken, Blynken and Nod.....
If you research the rest of this written work it speaks, in its entirety, the delights to be enjoyed here."

"We had a great time in Portland, we came in for 4 days for a festival and it was lovely to have this cozy, comfortable, clean, and charming cottage as our home base. We went to shows and sightseeing to many different parts of the city and it was easy to walk many places or hop on Portland's fantastic public transit. Highlights of the cottage for us were: great natural lighting (especially love the skylights!), beautiful perennial garden outside, and experiencing "tiny" house living. Everything was perfect!"

"Owners were able to accommodate our very last minute booking request quickly and easily. The cabin was so much more than what we expected. When we got rained on, we spent some time inside watching movies, playing board games, and the boys even enjoyed the PlayStation (all of which were provided for guest use). It did stop raining long enough for us to start a fire in the fire pit, and head down to the nearby lake to relax and enjoy the sights. The cabin has very up to date amenities/appliances and at the same time, the decor gives it an "outdoorsy" feeling. The only thing you need to bring are clothes, food, and wood (and conditioner if you've got long hair). Really, just a beautiful place. We will definitely be back!"

"We enjoyed our week-long stay in mid-December! Everything was super-clean and in excellent condition! Clare was so helpful and we took advantage of the nearby restaurants for breakfast nearly every day...JAM was our favorite! The kitchen is extremely well-supplied with things like seasonings and coffee filters. The weather was cold and rainy while we were there so did not get to use the courtyard although I could see it would be very nice!
Thanks to Jim and Clare for their hospitality."
