"We have stayed at this property for a number of years. Wonderful place to get away. Amazing view of the river and the house is charming. Great access to the river if you enjoy kayaking. The property is beautiful with lots of trees and natural vegetation. The house has everything you need for a great vacation. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. We look forward to our week on the McKenzie each year. The owner and caretakers take special care to make sure that your stay is comfortable. The hot tub is great! All you have to do is add a bottle of wine!"

"Walk to restaurants, a great meat deli, and a huge park (Amazon) that includes a nice dog park area too. We loved being able to park our car in the garage at night. Lots of windows for natural light. Nifty was well maintained and clean. Quiet neighborhood but access to an arterial is not far away. We'll be back."

"We were in the Corvallis area for a week, for our daughter’s wedding, as were quite a few friends and family. Because we had found such a unique get-away, and because the Riverhaus owners are so kind and accommodating, we were able to invite other wedding guests for visiting, a ride on the swing, picking blackberries, wading in the river, and dinner for 12 on the deck. We had the use of the whole property, and Kathy and Gregg made sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. I appreciated the space and freedom to be ourselves.
Riverhaus is a converted barn with an unusual and interesting history. The apartment is beautifully decorated, and the kitchen equipped with everything a traveler could want. It was very hot the week we were there, but there were several fans and we were not ever uncomfortable.
It was fantastic to be on the river. The apartment has a great view of the water. A lot of birds were also loving the water; we saw a great blue heron, an osprey, a small flock of mergansers, and a bald eagle.
The drive to Corvallis is quick and pretty, with no traffic. There is a farmer’s market within a few miles; it was selling some of the best corn on the cob I’ve ever eaten. I hope we get to return, maybe in other seasons to see what the river is like then."

"What a lovely log cabin this is! We rented it along with my sister and her family so that we could attend my son's wedding in Stayton. The layout, location and amenities were exactly as described! Plenty of room for all to enjoy. The kids had an especially good time playing out near the lake and on the lake bed. It's too bad that the water level was down but that couldn't be helped. No snow in the mountains, no water in the lake.
We hosted the rehearsal dinner for my son here. There were plenty of pots, pans and dishes for the 35 guests we entertained.
The places to go and see are many but I wouldn't plan to many outings because the cabin is a great place to relax, especially on the covered deck with a hot cup of coffee before the rest of the world wakes up.
Our only drawback and the reason we gave it 4 stars is because of the cat/dog hair that was in the home. We have a child with allergies and she did have a rough time here because of it.
The owner was very kind, courteous and willing to help with anything we needed.
I would recommend this to our friends and relatives."
