"This is a cozy little cabin with an incredible view of the river. It sits right on the river. You could fish from the deck, quite literally. There is no TV and no internet, which makes it all the better. There is cell signal, at least with ATT. The kitchen is stocked with spices, coffee, tea, dishes, silverware, and other essentials like a coffee maker. The bed was comfortable. The only negative is some road noise as the Mackenzie Hwy is as close as the river. There is only enough room to park the car parallel to the highway. But, the highway noise is mostly drowned out by the river, especially if you are on the deck. I mention it because if you want complete seclusion, that illusion will be disrupted by the highway."

"My family of 5 stayed here for 2 nights. The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We happened to be there during a hot week, so there were window ac units if we needed them. The grocery store was within walking distance and the kitchen was stocked with all the pots/pans/utensils we needed to make breakfast/coffee everyday. There were plenty of clean towels/linens, soap, shampoo etc. Getting into the house was easy and all instructions were clear. The porch was great to watch everyone bike by and drink morning coffee. The neighborhood is fun and loaded with food trucks, cafes, art galleries, shops. The location is also convenient to getting to all other areas of Portland. Thank you Rhea!"

"We greatly enjoyed our 5 nights in Kim's mid-century modern condo. Despite being right on the street, it was quiet at night. The bed was very comfortable, there were lots of lovely plush towels in the bathroom and the internet was responsive. Though we had dinner there only one night, the kitchen was so well equipped that we could have cooked just about anything. If you want to explore the restaurants and night life of the Hawthorne District this is a great base, and the local bus takes you directly to downtown. The decor was a trip down memory lane - we grew up with kitchens and bathrooms just like that. Kim was very helpful, and we especially appreciated her willingness to share the herbs and fresh lettuces in the well-maintained gardens. Parking wasn't hard to find, and though we worried a bit about leaving our rental car on the street it wasn't a problem. Great neighborhoods for walking, too. We'd gladly stay there agin next time we're in Portland."
