"Portland is relatively easy to get around, but you don't always want to stay in the middle of the busiest part of the city. For being tucked in a purely residential neighborhood with big trees and street parking, this house could not get any closer to the common amenities needed (grocery store, restaurants, banks) in the Lloyd District. I carried my groceries to the house for a whole 4 minutes. It was an extremely enjoyable 12 minute walk to the conference center every morning. Or, I'd walk 500 yards and hop on the street car that connects with any other MAX rail and go all over the city. I went from Voodoo doughnuts downtown to the house in about 18 minutes on the rail line.
The home has adequate furnishings and done up well, and all you need with the right consumables provided."

"We had the most enjoyable week long stay at this VRBO! The hospitality could not have been better--the breakfast treats were incredible, and the whole experience was one we hope to repeat often when we visit our son and his family in McMinnville. Our granddaughter squealed with laughter seeing the goats and alpacas and loved picking an apple off a tree. She was a little young to experience the tree house, but we have truly never seen anything like it and I'm sure she'll enjoy exploring it in years to come! We loved watching the birds outside our window, the fresh flowers which Sally provided for us and the bottle of wine. All in all, it was a wonderful experience-- very private while at the same time extremely welcoming."

"The house is very nice but sound travels inside. If one person is in the kitchen making breakfast people in the two downstairs bedrooms will get woke up. My only other negative would be that the bed in one of the downstairs bedrooms is very hard. I would recommend you bring a foam pad to put on it.
That said the positives are many. Great location. Nice parking area with fire pit. The upstairs bedroom is set up nicely for children. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The deck is wonderful."

"We were in the Corvallis area for a week, for our daughter’s wedding, as were quite a few friends and family. Because we had found such a unique get-away, and because the Riverhaus owners are so kind and accommodating, we were able to invite other wedding guests for visiting, a ride on the swing, picking blackberries, wading in the river, and dinner for 12 on the deck. We had the use of the whole property, and Kathy and Gregg made sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. I appreciated the space and freedom to be ourselves.
Riverhaus is a converted barn with an unusual and interesting history. The apartment is beautifully decorated, and the kitchen equipped with everything a traveler could want. It was very hot the week we were there, but there were several fans and we were not ever uncomfortable.
It was fantastic to be on the river. The apartment has a great view of the water. A lot of birds were also loving the water; we saw a great blue heron, an osprey, a small flock of mergansers, and a bald eagle.
The drive to Corvallis is quick and pretty, with no traffic. There is a farmer’s market within a few miles; it was selling some of the best corn on the cob I’ve ever eaten. I hope we get to return, maybe in other seasons to see what the river is like then."
