  • Even better than expected!

"We stayed here with our family of three as an early birthday getaway for my husband. The fishing in front of the house was so-so, but we heard that the river was about to be stocked so it sounds like we just missed the big ones by a few days. No matter, he still enjoyed being out in the river for hours each day and even helped our six year old land one! The home is clean and well maintained, as are the grounds. The river access was very easy and we waded in the water every day, skipping rocks. (it was unseasonably warm for September!) The owner is understandably concerned about the number of stairs that lead from the house to the various decks and to the river, which is why this listing says "no young children". Don't be put off by that. If you have toddlers this may not be for you, but our six year old had a blast! The stairs are very solid, with appropriate railings. Also note that there are two bedrooms on two floors. So, if you have a kiddo with night-time needs this could be a concern. We met a few of the neighbors during our stay, very nice! The house was also very quiet inside, despite the proximity to the road and bridge. And, there were a lot of games available to play when it got too dark to fish. This weekend was a much needed family getaway and we would not hesitate to return. Many thanks for sharing this great spot!"

  • Great house, Great location!!!

"We really enjoyed our time here. The house was very comfortable, large living room and dining room made it feel just like home. The location was great! Beautiful views, visit from deer roaming around and close to lots of winery's. We really needed more time to hit them all. We will be back!!!"

  • Sweet Cheeks getaway

"I love the rural location of this rental. Right next to Sweet Cheeks winery, there were deer, quail and wild turkeys in the yard. You can walk to the winery, enjoy live Friday night entertainment, sip the wine and be mellow. Be sure to pick up groceries before arriving because it has a well equipped kitchen and it's a twenty minutes drive back into Eugene."

  • Perfect in Every Way

"Upon arriving to the Cottage, and stepping inside, I was so happy to find a beautiful, clean, and well decorated home to spend a few days in! The views from every window are to die for, and each little detail was thought of: from the utensils in the kitchen, to extra pillows and blankets in the closet. I was pleasantly surprised by a delicious bottle of Durant Vineyards wine in the fridge, and an olive oil/balsamic gift on the counter. There was even milk in the fridge, to accompany the provided coffee from the pantry. Wonderful! This was all a HUGE deal for me: I rent vacation rentals frequently, and am mostly unimpressed with the venue when I arrive. But this time, the pictures of this home did not do it justice! What a hidden gem :) The cottage was perfect in every way. I will be back for sure!"
