  • Great stay!

"My husband and I stayed here for a month because we relocated for his job. It's a great cottage in a quiet neighborhood & just what we were looking for. The kitchen had everything we needed to make us feel at home while we were looking for a home! (Our stuff was in storage.) I'm thankful that pets were allowed. Our 2 Boston Terriers loved laying on the back deck. We were able to walk to a convenience store, credit union & a handful of restaurants in Philomath. Thank you for making this available to people, Monica!"

  • 40th Bday Party

"we rented this cabin for my husbands 40th birthday party. It was the most well equipped rental I have ever been at, as well as the most comfortable and you could tell that the owners are kind, caring, giving people. Our family and friends all had an amazing time and we plan on returning for years to come as long as it is available. We rent houses in various places every year for family trips but this was above and beyond the best we have ever stayed at. We greatly appreciate the family allowing us to have this experience and build so many great memories."

  • Lovely cabin right by the river

"Our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids) stayed at this quaint little cabin for one weekend. We loved it! The cabin is a “breath of fresh air.” The McKenzie river flowing by outside is just gorgeous, it really does “sing.” The water is so clear, and when we were there had shades of a lovely turquoise color. The kitchen is small, but has all the supplies you need to cook your own meals. There aren’t any major grocery stores nearby so you might want to stock up in the nearest big city before you head out. There is a small grocery store not far away but it has really limited options. There is a nearby restaurant that we did try out. The staff at the restaurant are really friendly and the food portions are generous. The food itself was ok but nothing to rave about, and we chose not to eat there again. We loved the wraparound deck. . .so nice. In the mornings, I would sit outside and watch the river flow by. We spent most of our time there fishing in nearby rivers and lakes, and hiking. Sahalee Falls is a must! It is truly one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever seen. We also visited Sisters briefly. A cute little town that is worth a stop. Wi-Fi was fairly decent, for those who can’t quite let go of their electronics. My eldest was happy he could surf his iPad when we were in the cottage. This cottage is one of several and they are much closer together than it appears in the photographs, but we never felt crowded and it was quiet. The cottage is clean and also has a small library of DVDs, which I thought was a nice touch. Overall, it was a great trip and a great way to finish off the summer before the kids headed back to school. I’d recommend staying here."

  • Cute, humble abode

"Let me start by getting the negative out of the way- I feel bad even disclosing this because we really did enjoy our stay here, but a review is supposed to be straightforward. Especially so that it can be handled better in the future: Upon arrival we started getting settled into the two rooms and almost immediately noticed a sizable, I'm just going to call it a "stain" for lack of appropriate terms, on the top of one of the bedspreads. This "stain" was pretty gross- yes it looked wiped up- but by no means was this bedspread washed after the last, rambunctious use. It made us all question how long it had been since all the blankets in the house had been washed. Ew. There were plenty of extra blankets in the closet and we just decided to not thoroughly inspect them... We just didn't want to know because or minds were already staring to wander! Another negative (and mind you this by no means made our stay worse) was that in the welcome sheet when we got to the house it said that we'd have a bottle of wine to enjoy. No wine. :( luckily we brought refreshments of our own. Also, it said there would be coffee there and their wasn't. Again, not a huge deal because there are several cute shops within a couple blocks from the house. On to all of the positives! This house is cute. And by cute I mean, I wish I could keep it for myself. The kitchen is nice and updated as well as the bathroom. It has a great amount of space and easily fit our group of 5 women. The beds were comfortable! Plenty of extra pillows and sheets and blankets in the closet. Our favorite thing about the house though was the convenience. It's right near so many fun shops, good restaurants, etc. only 15 mins away from about a million wineries. There are also some tasting rooms within walking distance in downtown McMinnville. I can see our group coming back again in the future for sure! The house really did feel like a home away from home :)"
