  • Excellent Women's Retreat

"The lodge was great. The kitchen had everything we needed. Plenty of extra blankets and pillows to keep everyone comfy. The wood supply was only enough for one night when we arrived, but by late the next morning we had a wood delivery that was more than enough for our entire stay. The sleeping loft was a little intimidating to get to for many of our women, slippery steps in socks for late night bathroom visits, so keep that in mind if you have a majority of older guests. But it is a lovely loft and we all truly enjoyed our stay and didn't want to leave."

  • Perfect!

"The cute cottage was perfect for walking to downtown and driving to wineries. The neighborhood was peaceful, the yard and garden were beautiful. We had a wonderful, relaxing evening sitting in the backyard. We had mixed up the dates for our arrival and were so embarrassed, but Connie was gracious, helpful, and understanding. The bed was comfortable and the room had everything we could need. We enjoyed the Thistle restaurant one night and Nick's the next and recommend them both. If you're looking for a quiet place to stay while visiting your child at Linfield, exploring the McMinnville area, or learning about all the fun wineries in the region, this is the place to stay!"

  • Comforts of home in great location

"This is our second time at the Nifty Thrifty! The house is perfect for small groups or families, and we loved the yard, for ourselves and our doggies, for all the fresh fruit we were able to pick and eat on the spot! The kitchen is great for preparing meals, and has everything you need for full-on cooking! Location-wise, you're a couple of blocks away from market of Choice, an (admittedly expensive) market that's a great treat when you're traveling. Also, if you have dogs, don't forget Morse Farm Dog Park...you could walk, but it's about a mile away. Our dogs run and play and love this park, and it's very large and friendly all around. You are also only a few blocks from Amazon Dog Park, an average park that gets the job done. Lastly, Ellen is friendly, personal, and tries very hard to make your stay a great one! I hope to be back next summer...can't say enough good stuff about this little gem of a house!"

  • Good location in Eugene!

"Thanks for the use of your guesthouse. We rent homes frequently and your house was one of our best. Clean, complete, comfortable and close to everything we needed. We walked and biked everywhere; only used our car once during the week."
