  • Wonderful Stay Great Location

"We really enjoyed this charming cottage. The location was excellent for exploring wine country. We walked to Henry's down the street for breakfast every morning although the kitchen was beautiful and well-equipped. Just down the street is Milo's for ice cream, The Radish for cocktails and watching football and The Republic of Jam for delicious tastings and perfect holiday gifts to bring home."

  • Everything we hoped for and more!

"We stayed at this cabin for a week with another family. With the three bedrooms and two bathrooms, we had plenty of space. As soon as we drove up to the cabin, we knew it would be amazing. It is tucked into the woods next to the beautiful McKenzie River. We loved leaving the windows open at night to hear the water rushing across the rocks. It was also so peaceful sitting on the deck in the morning with our coffee and we ended up having numerous meals outside. As a little bonus, it was fun watching rafters come down the river, hollering and laughing as they went by. The living area was nicely furnished and cozy with a large fireplace. It also has large tables both inside and out for enjoying family meals. We enjoyed cooking in the bright kitchen which overlooks the deck. It is very well-equipped. The cabin's location is great if you like to get out and enjoy nature. We went on numerous hikes in the area, boated in Clear Lake, and explored some nearby campgrounds. Sisters, OR is nearby if you like cute shops and restaurants. We even took a day trip to Smith Rock for some of the best climbing around and then over to Bend to sample the local brews. We would definitely recommend this cabin to our friends and family, and hope to come back again. Thank you to the Core Family!!!"

  • Incredible Labor Day Weekend!

"We stayed at Gentle Acres for Labor Day Weekend (two couples and one baby) to visit the local wineries and relax a bit. I cannot put into words how incredible our weekend was. Ben and Britta have done an AMAZING job with the suite, it is immaculate and very well appointed. They have thought of everything, so many nice touches to make it a truly relaxing getaway in the country. There are incredible views from every room. They even left us fresh eggs from their chickens and a bottle of Pinot Gris to kick off the weekend. I hope to visit them at Gentle Acres many times again in the future. Thank you both!"

  • A wonderful place

"We just returned from a week at this cozy and charming little cabin. This area is so lush and green, with many great hikes and places to explore. The cabin is right on the river- so nice to listen to as we sat out on the deck or slept at night. I waved at the river rafters while relaxing in the hammock--how great is that!?! Randy was so welcoming and made us feel right at home--a great host. A great place to get away from it all. We were sorry to drive away!"
