  • perfect place!!

"9 women went to celebrate a retirement. we were all very pleased with the layout, and spaciousness. We had room to spread out. Kitchen is very well stocked. Couches and beds are comfortable. plenty of extra sheets and blankets. great tv- except it would have been nice to be able to use it with my netflix account. Great area- we went to McMinville for shopping and also visited wineries. we are a;ready planning a repeat visit!"

  • Great place to stay.

"Beautiful house, very well kept. Closer to the river than it looks in the pictures. We filled the house with family for a reunion and everybody loved it. Kitchen is awesome."

  • Great house, Great location!!!

"We really enjoyed our time here. The house was very comfortable, large living room and dining room made it feel just like home. The location was great! Beautiful views, visit from deer roaming around and close to lots of winery's. We really needed more time to hit them all. We will be back!!!"

  • Even better than expected!

"We stayed here with our family of three as an early birthday getaway for my husband. The fishing in front of the house was so-so, but we heard that the river was about to be stocked so it sounds like we just missed the big ones by a few days. No matter, he still enjoyed being out in the river for hours each day and even helped our six year old land one! The home is clean and well maintained, as are the grounds. The river access was very easy and we waded in the water every day, skipping rocks. (it was unseasonably warm for September!) The owner is understandably concerned about the number of stairs that lead from the house to the various decks and to the river, which is why this listing says "no young children". Don't be put off by that. If you have toddlers this may not be for you, but our six year old had a blast! The stairs are very solid, with appropriate railings. Also note that there are two bedrooms on two floors. So, if you have a kiddo with night-time needs this could be a concern. We met a few of the neighbors during our stay, very nice! The house was also very quiet inside, despite the proximity to the road and bridge. And, there were a lot of games available to play when it got too dark to fish. This weekend was a much needed family getaway and we would not hesitate to return. Many thanks for sharing this great spot!"
